LAS VEGAS – Bottle service prices are always ridiculous at Las Vegas clubs, but prices will be going through the roof for the reopening weekend of Wynn’s XS Nightclub in November. The price of a guaranteed table on the stage for some of these shows can cost as much as a small house.
XS Nightclub inside Wynn’s sister hotel Encore has been dark for months, but the long-awaited reopening is set for November 5. To celebrate the occasion, some of the club’s biggest DJs, including Rüfüs Du Sol, The Chainsmokers, Calvin Harris, Diplo, and Hugel, will headline throughout the weekend. Additional names will be announced as the venue prepares to reopen.
Wynn has called the XS renovation a “complete reimagining” of the club, which originally opened on New Year's Eve in 2008. There aren't many details available yet about what the refreshed interior or exterior will look like, but
The venue has been one of the most recognizable names in Vegas nightlife for almost two decades, so the refresh will give Wynn an opportunity to usher in a new era for XS while retaining many of the artists who helped build its reputation.
Rüfüs Du Sol will kick off the reopening weekend on a Thursday, an unusual choice of night for such a major EDM act. The Australian house duo doesn’t perform frequently in Vegas.
Their last appearances in Vegas were on May 16, for the opening of Omnia Dayclub, during the weekend of this year’s Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), and at XS on New Year's Eve last year.
The Chainsmokers headline on Friday, Nov. 6. The duo of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart has a long-standing relationship with Wynn Nightlife and has been among XS's most reliable headliners for years.
"We've had some of our favorite nights at XS over the years, and Wynn has been such an important part of our journey," The Chainsmokers said in a statement. "There's a lot of history behind us, and we've seen XS evolve firsthand. It's exciting to be part of this next chapter and see a place that's been such an important part of our story enter a new era."
Calvin Harris headlines on Saturday, Nov. 7, continuing his relationship with Wynn dating back to his first Vegas residency in 2011. Since then, he's released hits including "Feel So Close" and "One Kiss" and wrapped a successful run at LIV at Fontainebleau in 2024. His two-year deal with Wynn will keep him performing at Encore Beach Club and XS Nightclub on busy Saturdays through 2027. Harris also recently performed at Tomorrowland Belgium, a festival that will have an event in Vegas next year.
"I've played some incredible nights at XS, and it's always been one of my favorite places to play in Las Vegas," Harris said in a statement.
Diplo and Hugel will close out the opening weekend on Sunday with a B2B (back-to-back) set. Diplo has been a staple performer on XS’s artist roster for (too many) years. Hugel is a newer addition to Wynn's Nightlife roster but has been impressing crowds with his Latin house sound and appearances at venues like Hi Ibiza and Coachella.
The reopening weekend lineup is pretty exceptional, but the bottle-service prices put the reopening firmly in the luxury nightlife category. Wynn has released prices for VIP tables (the only way to have guaranteed seating at a club) on its website, and the numbers give a clearer sense of how high-stakes these shows will be.
For Rüfüs Du Sol's opening night, a stage table closest to the DJ booth has a minimum spend of $150,000. By the time you add the venue fee and gratuity ($22,000 each) and taxes ($14,000 and change), the total for that table comes to approximately $211,707. The least expensive way to sit and watch Rüfüs Du Sol at XS that night is in a lower cabana far from the stage, with a $2,500 minimum spend, which comes to roughly $3,500 after fees.
For those on a budget (sarcasm alert), the pool deck tables outside, with a limited view of the DJ, are the most affordable seating option, with a $1,500 minimum spend. This is the cost of a seated experience at a nightclub opening.
The price is part of what makes Las Vegas nightlife so unusual. Bottle service has never simply been about a place to sit with a couple of drinks. For the people willing to spend tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars, the presentation, the table location, and the spectacle in the bottle delivery are part of the experience.
Prices are similar to see Calvin Harris that weekend. A stage table for his Saturday night event costs a minimum of $60,000, which rises to approximately $84,000 after taxes and fees. Most people attending these shows won’t be spending six figures, but will have to fork over at least $100 for a ticket to see any of them. Full table pricing is available on Wynn Nightlife's website.
The November reopening also happens to be just two weeks before the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix returns to the Strip, bringing another wave of ballers and high-rollers to the city for a few days of racing. If XS's reopening prices are any indication, the club could have another lucrative weekend on its hands when F1 arrives.
XS initially began construction with the nightclub's main room, while the outdoor portion remained open. By the end of July, though, Wynn also closed the outdoor area to allow the resort to continue the overall renovation.
The original venue was designed by iconic Vegas designer Roger Thomas and opened by Victor Drai, the same man who pioneered Drai's After Hours, at the Vanderpump Hotel. The club features an outdoor pool terrace with two levels of cabanas surrounding it, as well as an outdoor table games area. The DJ booth was also designed to serve both indoor and outdoor crowds simultaneously.
Wynn hasn't released a cost estimate for the renovation or a detailed description of the changes guests will see when they return.
"XS has always represented the intersection of exceptional entertainment, design, and hospitality," said Wynn Nightlife Vice President Adam Norosky. "As we look toward reopening weekend, our goal is to create the next evolution of XS while preserving the energy and experience that have made it such an iconic nightlife destination."
Norosky is only a few months into the nightlife VP role with Wynn. He was previously the Director of Social Dining at Wynn, overseeing restaurants such as Delilah, Casa Playa, and Zero Bond.
He stepped into the role following the departure of Ryan Jones, who had been Senior VP of Wynn Nightlife for 15 years. Jones was fired in April after an internal investigation into an alleged pay-for-play scheme involving millions in liquor funds was opened that same morning.
Casinos.com’s sources within Wynn Nightlife confirmed that the company’s COO, Brian Gullbrants, sent an immediate memo to staff stating that Jones was "no longer with Wynn Resorts." No charges have been publicly filed at this time, though.
With XS currently closed, Wynn’s nightlife programming has shifted over to Encore Beach Club at Night.
Encore's dayclub opens for night swim events on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays with the same roster of DJs as XS, with a few others like Sullivan King and Subtronics, who DJ only during the night swim events.
But the changes may not end with XS. Our sources familiar with Wynn Nightlife have indicated that Encore Beach Club is expected to close for renovation once XS reopens.
Wynn has not publicly announced details of a potential renovation, but Encore Beach Club could be renovated at the end of next year, depending on how much money is spent on the XS renovation.
But for now, the focus remains on XS. After about 18 years as one of the highest-grossing nightclubs in the entire U.S., the venue will reopen with a strong collection of EDM performers. Tickets for the reopening weekend are available on Wynn Nightlife's website, with additional programming expected to be announced ahead of November.
