There are plenty of great places for a family vacation. However, when people think of casinos, most imagine neon lights, ringing slot machines, and adults trying their luck at the games. And we can't blame them; casinos have been, traditionally, aimed solely at adults. In fact, some casinos only allow those older than 25 into their establishment.

This excludes many players, especially people with families—particularly little children. Fortunately, modern casinos and casino resorts are leveling up, and they're no longer aimed solely at high-rollers but also people with strollers.
In this guide, we'll discuss family-friendly casinos.

Yes, family-friendly casinos exist, and these casino resorts with kids' activities enable moms and dads to unwind at the tables while also providing plenty of engaging activities for their little ones. Let's dive right in.

Featured Family-Friendly Casinos

Family-friendly casinos aren't actually a novelty; they've existed for quite some time now. These places offer a balance of entertainment, relaxation, and excitement for the players, as well as responsible supervision and entertainment for their children.

The list below contains brief reviews of the world's top casinos for families, ranging from those located in the US to those situated in more exotic international destinations.

Circus Circus Las Vegas—Las Vegas, NV

Believe it or not, Circus Circus was actually the very first family-friendly casino in Las Vegas. It opened its doors back in 1968, with a casino on its first floor, a permanent circus, and a second floor that contained a range of different carnival games for children. It ended up struggling financially due to a lack of hotels.

The hotel, a 15-story tower with 409 rooms, was added in 1972. Circus Circus Las Vegas is now best known for its indoor Adventuredome Theme Park, which has roller coasters, laser tag, arcade games, and other carnival games. Parents can, of course, slip away to the gaming floor while the kids are being entertained.

Beau Rivage Resort & Casino—Biloxi, MS

Opened in March 1999, this Mississippi gambling venue was the largest hotel/casino in the US at the time of its opening—outside those in Nevada, of course. It still remains the tallest building in Mississippi, with 1,740 rooms, restaurants, a parking garage, and a series of associated facilities.

This elegant resort balances adult excitement with the family appeal. Your kids will love the outdoor pool, Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum, mini golf on the beach, and plenty of other nearby attractions.

The casino itself is top-notch, with over 1,200 slot machines, table games, and a state-of-the-art poker room. There are two additional smoke-free areas that provide comfortable play, equipped with a collective 128 machines. Beau Rivage is truly a fantastic place if you're looking for a mixture of grown-up glam, dice, and coastal fun.

Pechanga Resort & Casino—Temecula, CA

Pechanga is the largest resort and casino in California and features one of the largest casino floors in the US, with 200,000 square feet of gaming space. This space houses 5,500 slot machines, 152 table games, and a High-Limit Salon, as well as private gaming rooms and an entirely separate non-smoking section.

Besides the games of chance, Pechanga also offers a wide range of different activities for adults and children alike, including Native American cultural tours, an 18-hole golf course, and a pool complex with a family lagoon. These have waterslides, splash zones, and cabanas – what more could you need?

The resort also has a kids' arcade, a bowling alley, and live shows, making it one of the best casinos for families on the West Coast. Furthermore, the resort also imposes no parking fees, no resort fees, and no Wi-Fi fees for its guests.

Atlantis Paradise Island—Nassau, Bahamas

Atlantis is actually an iconic resort and a world-famous water park on Paradise Island in the Bahamas, with beaches with pure white sand and crystal clear sea. The casino is quite massive, spanning 100,000 square feet in size, with more than 700 slot machines and 85 gaming tables.

The games include Texas Hold 'em, craps, baccarat, roulette, and many more. While you enjoy playing the odds, your kids can keep busy at the aforementioned water park or on the beach while exploring one of Atlantis's many aquariums.
There are other activities that appeal to both adults and kids, like swimming with the dolphins, floating through lazy rivers, or braving the Leap of Faith water slide. The latter actually drops you through a shark tank like it's no big deal. It's truly a family-friendly casino paradise in every sense.

Sheraton Fallsview Hotel (with Casino Niagara)—Niagara Falls, ON

The Sheraton site has housed guests visiting Niagara Falls for more than 100 years, and the first hotel at this location was built in the early 1890s. However, the Sheraton Hotels bought the original hotel and expanded its business. The hotel itself has direct indoor connections to various attractions on the 20-acre complex, including the one to Casino Niagara.

This offers convenience for parents who like to gamble, as well as entertainment and excitement for all. Families can enjoy the Niagara SkyWheel, nearby water parks, and the always-awesome Butterfly Conservatory. The casino, on the other hand, has more than 1,300 slot machines, more than 12 table games, 26 poker tables, and a slot tournament area.

Sheraton Fallsview offers a great blend of nature, gaming, and family-friendly entertainment, which is perfect for those planning a memorable family trip.

City of Dreams Mediterranean – Limassol, Cyprus

City of Dreams Mediterranean is Europe's first and largest integrated resort spread over 14.8 acres. It's located in Limassol, the second largest city in Cyprus, and offers amenities such as a family adventure park, an outdoor amphitheater, luxury retail, and premium dining options. Of course, it also includes a casino.

The casino itself has 80,000 square feet, with approximately 1,000 slot machines and 100 gaming tables. The latter features Three Card Poker, American Roulette, baccarat, blackjack, craps, roulette, and many more. It also has a VIP, invitation-only gaming area that features its own private entrance, as well as valet service and exclusive dining.

When it comes to attractions and entertainment, the Adventure Park offers nearly 54,000 square feet of family fun, with eight attractions, including a miniature golf course, a zipline coaster, a climbing wall, high ropes, and a trampoline zone—among many, many other attractions. All of this makes City of Dreams Mediterranean more akin to a small city rather than a vacation stop.

Borgo Egnazia—Purglia, Italy

Borgo Egnazia is perfect for families who prefer olive groves and Roman ruins over roulette but don't want to devoid themselves of the possibility of playing some dice from time to time. The resort is comprised of a golf course, a spa, 28 villas, and 63 hotel rooms, all of which are made of local calcar limestone.

Sadly, the luxury resort and spa doesn't actually have its own casino. Instead, it partners with nearby private gaming venues to provide a good balance of culture and fun. Besides playing the odds at nearby partnering locations, parents can enjoy wine tastings and golf while the kids engage in various beach activities, storytelling workshops, or even cooking classes.

Kangwon Land/High1 Resort—Jeongseon, South Korea

Kangwon Land is a South Korean casino and resort company that developed abandoned coal mines and turned them into gaming and entertainment facilities once the nation's need for coal subsided.

The resort operated two hotels with over 670 rooms, two condominiums with over 400 rooms, an 18-hole golf course, and a ski resort. It also operates a casino that's open to both locals and tourists and features 132 table games and 960 slot machines on 2,800 acres of land.

The High1 Resort also offers a water park, a botanical garden, and nature trails, allowing its guests to escape the bustle of big cities without compromising on activities and gaming.

Studio City Macau—Macau, China

Studio City is a Hollywood studio-themed hotel casino resort in Macau, China. It's inspired by the Golden Age of Hollywood, and it features a sprawling casino on 106,000 square feet of space. The casino is equipped with 1,200 slot machines and approximately 250 game tables.

Besides gaming, families with kids can enjoy attractions such as the Golden Reel, the Super Fun Zone, a multi-level indoor playground, Batman Dark Flight, and Studio City Water Park. The aforementioned Golden Reel connected the resort's two hotels, which have over 1,600 rooms for accommodating guests.

Conclusion

Ultimately, family-friendly casinos offer the best of both worlds, playing odds for adults and playing at the water slides for the kids. So, whether you're looking for a vacation on the sandy beaches of the Bahamas or the mountain air of Korea, you no longer have to choose between a grown-up getaway or a family retreat—because family-friendly casinos have it all.
