Las Vegas Casinos Getting Freaky for Halloween 2026

LAS VEGAS – No city celebrates Halloween quite like Las Vegas. All month long, you’ll find costume contests, spooky pop-ups, and even full-on Halloween balls on the 31st. Halloween hasn’t fallen on a Saturday since 2020, back when we were still fighting our way through the pandemic. This Halloween is set to be better than ever, so expect ragers all over the city.

If you’re looking for something that’s more adult-oriented to do at the casinos, there are options at casinos all along the Las Vegas Strip. There’s always something off-Strip too, for locals who’d rather skip the drive down Las Vegas Boulevard.

This round-up has the best Halloween events in Vegas for October 2026, whether you want to go full party mode at one of the city’s nightclubs or win a few hundred dollars in a costume contest. We’ve also gathered tips on what you’ll need to know to have a successful night out on the town so you don’t become one of the undead after your night of fun.

Spooky Strip Events

Tourists flocking to Vegas for Halloween rarely want to stray far from the Strip — and luckily they don’t have to. Some of the biggest events include headlining acts at nightclubs, Halloween parties at various venues, and even concerts that fall on the 31st. Almost every casino does something for Halloween, but some celebrations are better than others.

Costume Contests Dominate Megaclubs

Nightclubs play up the party for Halloween every year. Cocktail servers and hosts even come to work in spooky outfits while guests compete for four-figure cash prizes in costume contests.

At Encore Beach Club at Night inside Wynn Las Vegas Latin house DJ HUGEL plays on Oct. 30, followed by pop DJ duo The Chainsmokers on Halloween night itself. Celebrations would normally be at XS Nightclub since the dayclubs are closing for the season, but the nightclub is still undergoing renovations.

Marquee Nightclub inside The Cosmopolitan will feature Illenium, who had a successful residency at the Sphere in 2026, on Oct. 30, while Steve Aoki takes the stage on Oct. 31.

Those looking for a hip-hop night can head to Hakkasan Nightclub at MGM Grand to see BigXthaPlug on Oct. 30 and DJ Mustard on Halloween night. And for the classic nightclub experience that makes you feel like you’re in ‘The Hangover’, OMNIA Nightclub at Caesars Palace will host big room DJs Tiësto and Martin Garrix respectively for Oct. 30 and 31.

One of the biggest celebrations this year is at Resorts World, where “Hot Girl Summer” rapper Megan Thee Stallion will bring her “Hottieween” party to Zouk Nightclub on Oct. 30, featuring performers from Cirque du Soleil. Zouk closes out the weekend with Ian Asher on Oct. 29 and drum and bass duo Chase & Status on Halloween night.

Mandalay Bay’s Got Underwater Scares and Rooftop Cocktails

Mandalay Bay’s Shark Reef Aquarium hosts “Hallow-Reef” on Oct. 30 and 31. This event is notably more family-friendly than any others on this list, as children 12 and under are welcome to trick-or-treat through the decorated underwater tunnels.

This can make for a great Halloween celebration for any adults wanting to enjoy the attraction’s appeal and something more laid-back that’s still on the Strip. Plus, the aquariums always make a great photo op with a fun costume.

For something more adult-oriented, the newly opened Vinyl Room (formerly Foundation Room) has two Halloween events for those who want to party with a panoramic view of the Strip. The venue will host a Día de los Muertos party on Oct. 30, followed by Vinyls + Villains on Oct. 31, with costumed bartenders. Once again, another great photo op of the Strip at Mandalay Bay.

Cocktails Behind Eerie Doors at Speakeasies and Lounges

Allē Lounge on 66 at Resorts World hosts Masquerade on 66 on Halloween. This event will feature cocktails for the occasion, such as The Phantom’s Obsession, a tequila-and-espresso cocktail finished with a marshmallow spiderweb.

Caramella’s Hidden Lounge at Planet Hollywood transforms its secret 1970s-inspired disco vibe into “Nightmare on the Dance Floor” all month long. They’ll have special drinks like the Murder on the Dance Floor, which has vodka, rum, blood orange, passionfruit, and prosecco.

Several of the hidden speakeasies at The Cosmopolitan get in on the Halloween fun from Oct. 29 through Nov. 1. Clique Bar & Lounge will become a haunted circus for “Freak Show.” Guests can try the Midori-spiked Beetlejuice martini or Dracula’s Punch served with faux vampire teeth.

The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails will host Halloween Karaoke on Oct. 27 and “Depressed Monsters Emo Night: Sad Clown Edition” on Oct. 29. The lounge will be serving their Blood Transfusion cocktail in an IV bag for anyone who wants to live out their vampire fantasy.

See a Concert on Halloween Night

If you want to make a concert the focus of your Halloween night, Doja Cat will be in town for a stop on her “Tour Ma Vie World Tour.” The Grammy-winning star will perform with Latto at T-Mobile Arena on Halloween night itself at 7:30 p.m. It’s a one-night-only stop with a special opportunity to attend a concert in costume.

At Park MGM's Dolby Live, Mary J. Blige brings her My Life, My Story residency to the stage at 8 p.m. on Oct. 31. The show will showcase songs from throughout her career and catalog, making it a strong pick for R&B fans who want live music.

Metallica takes the stage at Sphere at 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 31 for anyone who wants to rock out on Halloween. The format of the “Life Burns Faster” residency gives each performance its own set list, making this a great option for rock fans in Vegas.

Meanwhile, Fontainebleau will see Latin pop star Ricky Martin return for back-to-back Halloween shows at BleauLive Theater on Oct. 30 and 31. Concerts and theater shows can be great entertainment options if nightclubs and costume contests aren’t your scene.

Costumes are optional, but tickets aren't. Find the perfect show for Halloween night on Spotlight Vegas.

Downtown’s Got Free Events

Downtown Las Vegas has a different energy on Halloween than the Strip. The crowd skews more local and laid-back any day of the week, especially on Fremont Street. Feel free to wear a wackier costume than you would on the Strip.

It’s a different vibe where the locals really go to have a good time. But don’t be fooled; it can be chaotic down here with so many venues having their own events.

Circa’s Legacy Club will host Haunted Heights, a rooftop Halloween party and costume contest with a $5,000 prize. Entry is free, so it’s a perfect value option compared to other venues that may charge you an arm and a leg just to get in the venue.

On top of that, there are even larger Halloween events that have no cover charge. The Freaks on Fremont block party will take over a large stretch of streets in Downtown Las Vegas on Oct. 29 from 6 to 11 p.m. This event is free – just walk up and be ready to party with music from Vegas local DJs.

Costumes Under the Canopy takes over the Fremont Street Experience on Halloween with free live entertainment, fire dancing, and a silent disco. This event has cash prizes of up to $5,000 and is open to anyone over 21.

Unique Halloween Events at Off-Strip Casinos

If you want a vibe built around food and drinks rather than dancing, there’s plenty on and off the Strip. Many local casinos have special pop-up events or bigger parties for those interested in the nightlife scene without the Strip crowds.

Off-Strip events are always a great value option, since most of those casinos don’t charge parking fees. They’re also far enough away from the Strip that you can avoid the stressful traffic that comes with Halloween night elsewhere.

Virgin Hotels Has Halloween Balls and… Pilates?

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas packs a wide variety of Halloween programming into just a few days.

It starts with the Kassi Beach House restaurant’s Haunted House Party on Oct. 28, where specific cocktails and pastas are all 50% off. The event will also feature a costume contest and giveaways for free dinner at the restaurant, an engraved bottle of Telmont Jeroboam champagne, and a stay at Virgin Hotels.

Next up is the 18th Annual Thriller Halloween Party at the 24 Oxford theater, featuring 80s hip-hop group Digital Underground on Oct. 30.

For those looking to prioritize wellness even on Halloween day, you can hit up Potions & PiLattes for a workout session on the event lawn with complimentary lattes. Since this is on Halloween, costumes are welcome!

The biggest event of the night will be the Sin City Halloween Ball, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. This event is formerly known as the Fetish and Fantasy Ball, one of the longest-running Halloween parties in Las Vegas. The event may have a tamer name, but the party is still just as provocative.

Haunted Hotels and Spooky Games

"Haunted Brunch" has returned to the Rio on weekends, with options to come for just the show, brunch, or a VIP package with bottomless mimosas and preferred seating.

@vanessatakesvegas Checking out The Haunted Inn at the Palms with @Melanie 🎃👻 I really enjoyed starting off October with this! I’ve seen so many videos about this place, and I had it on my list when I heard that Palms was doing another Halloween pop-up. This is way better than Camp Palms in my opinion. More space, and I like the character concepts much more. The food is super awesome, and the presentation is great. I appreciate how large the portions are. You could easily split one entree (like the sushi) between two people and be stuffed. Annd the drinks are delish with fun concepts. The only drawback is the amount of AI involved in this, to be honest with you. That’s what people aren’t talking about here. At one point when you receive a certain drink, you have to scan a QR code that lets you take a picture of yourself, and it, like, AI generates a spooky photo of you, which is a little unnecessary IMO. The menus once again are AI, but they definitely look better than last time. But I still had fun, just something I accept with the company that does these lmao I guess that Palms is learning how to do this tastefully or not, but it’s Halloween, so it’s still got to be fun, you know? I had a fun time, and I think overall I would definitely want to come back during Halloween, but I would love to actually dress up and come here. Probably would make for fun conversation with the characters. @Palms Casino Resort #halloween #hauntedinn #palms #halloweenvegas #thingstodoinvegas ♬ original sound - Vanessa • Vegas Journalist

We recently visited The Haunted Inn at Palms Casino Resort, the resort’s immersive Halloween pop-up, which runs through Oct. 31 with a full slate of themed entertainment and food.

High above the casino floor, Ghostbar at Palms will have three nights of Halloween festivities. It starts with a costume contest and party on Oct. 29, followed by ladies' night with dance music icon Ultra Naté on Oct. 30. Halloween night will feature music from DJ J Bray along with a costume contest with cash prizes and free Palms stays with dining credit.

Durango Casino hosts "Nightmare at Bel-Aire" at Bel-Aire Lounge from Oct. 29 to 31, complete with DJs, costume contests, and a four-figure grand finale prize.

Red Rock Resort and Casino will host their bingo night with a twist for the occasion on Oct. 29. "Halloween Rock Shot Bingo" will feature a costume contest with free drinks and Jell-O shots.

Tips for Celebrating Halloween in Las Vegas Safely

With so many events packed into just a few days, a little planning can go a long way. Halloween in Vegas can be one of the most fun but chaotic nights of the year, even comparable to New Year’s Eve in certain areas. The streets can be more crowded than usual, especially in heavy pedestrian areas.

Rideshare prices spike hard on Halloween night thanks to surge pricing, so plan to order your Uber or Lyft early. Carpooling is ideal, especially to avoid anyone having to be a designated driver. Don’t be afraid to use public transportation to get between certain areas, as routes are typically unchanged on Halloween night. Parking is difficult, especially in areas like the Fremont Street Experience.

Driving yourself is an option, but Halloween weekend also means there can be more drunk drivers on the road. Factor that risk in before you decide to take the wheel.

Expect everything to cost more than usual, including parking, cover charges, and drinks. Since demand is so high citywide, many places take the opportunity to make as much money as they can off people who want to party in costume.

If there’s an event on or off this list that you don’t want to miss, be sure to purchase tickets in advance rather than hoping to walk up. Many events can sell out in advance or have long lines. (I know from personal experience; I once waited an hour and a half to get into Oddfellows bar in downtown Las Vegas on Halloween)

Finally, check each casino’s costume policy before you finalize your look. Generally speaking, Las Vegas casino properties restrict face paint, full masks, and law enforcement-style costumes for the night. The last one is mainly so security and guests can tell real staff and officers apart from costumed partygoers in a crowd. It also goes without saying to avoid any costumes with excessive nudity in areas where minors might be present, and to leave weapons at home even if they’re part of a costume.

A quick check of the venue’s website or social media ahead of time can save you from getting turned away at the door.
