Many venues in the East Coast casino scene are outdoors to avoid the summer heat and rain in Florida. For that reason, concert season usually slows down a bit in June, but it doesn't mean the entire casino concert world is on summer break.
From Florida to Connecticut, there's a solid month of notable shows over the next 30 days for those looking to enjoy rock, country, blues, or even some comedy.
Here is a look at some notable shows scheduled over the next 30 days across the East Coast casino system.
Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood keeps its indoor Hard Rock Live venue busy with Charlie Puth on June 5, the Red Clay Strays on June 18, and Josh Groban with Jennifer Hudson on June 20.
Surprisingly, comedians are a prime audience for such shows at Hard Rock Live, as three funnymen round out the schedule: Morgan Jay on June 6, George Lopez on June 11, and Matt Rife on June 26-27.
A comparable situation unfolds at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa, where the Event Center has a diverse run of shows later in the month. Comedian and Saturday Night Live cast member Marcello Hernandez takes the stage on June 18. The Vietnamese variety show Ký Ức 2 brings its Memory Concert Tour to Tampa on June 21, featuring performers Hồng Ngọc, Quang Linh, Lệ Quyên, and Phan Duy Anh.
Colombian vocalist Jessi Uribe brings his unique musical stylings to close out the month with his show on June 24. Uribe’s biggest hit, “Dulce Pecado," has earned over half a BILLION streams on Spotify.
Tickets for these events can be found on the Hard Rock Live or Seminole Hard Rock Tampa websites.
Cooler conditions are more common as you move up the East Coast, making the concert scene a bit better as you go further north.
At The HALL at Live! in Maryland, fans of Nick Jonas can experience a night of entertainment with one of the biggest pop acts of the 21st century on June 6.
In Pennsylvania, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course will host a solo performance by Darius Rucker, the former lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish, on June 5. Parx Casino Bensalem, also in Pennsylvania, features the musical stylings of Fitz and the Tantrums on June 26.
Atlantic City in New Jersey is stepping up with a solid array of summertime shows among the casinos by the beach. Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena has several concerts spanning all genres of music, beginning with the new rock stylings of Yungblud on June 6. Darius Rucker and Nick Jonas will both make their way to the arena on June 12 and June 13, respectively.
Elsewhere around the boardwalk, Los Lobos and Los Lonely Boys will be rocking the Tropicana Showroom at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino on June 19. Blues master Joe Bonamassa hits Ovation Hall at Ocean Resort Casino on June 27, and The Struts waltz into Sound Waves at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino the same day
A full rundown of all the events in Atlantic City and ticket availability can be found at Atlantic City Events.
The two Northeast casinos in Connecticut, Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan Sun Casino & Resort, both have massive schedules for their venues. These two casinos have indoor venues, so the weather won't be a concern here.
At Foxwoods, June opens with blues rocker Marcus King and his band on June 11 at the Premier Theater. For something completely different, DEVO will play the Premier Theater on June 13. If you prefer a bit more country to your tuneage, Jo Dee Messina will appear at the Great Cedar Showroom on June 20.
Mohegan Sun will also span the arts with its June shows. Comedian April Macie will bring three nights of raucous comedic charms to Mohegan Sun's Comix Comedy Club from June 11-13. On the musical front, the alternative rock band Wet Leg will be at the Mohegan Sun Arena on June 14; Lauren Daigle will visit the Arena on June 18; and Blue Man Group will have two shows on June 27 and June 28.
For more information on these and other shows, visit the websites for Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun.
