There are cheap eats and drinks all over Las Vegas, from the Strip to the suburbs. Head out to happy hour at most casinos and find a variety of restaurants and bars offering afternoon discounts.
What's missing are great Vegas meals at a lower price. While the cheap options are mostly snacks that will hold you over for a little while, we're looking at meals that will keep us full for most of the day.
Steak dinners are one of the most satisfying meals in Las Vegas. New York and Chicago are known for their steakhouses, and Las Vegas isn’t too far behind. Some of the best chefs and steakhouse brands have opened up locations all over town.
Unfortunately, steak prices have nearly doubled over the past decade. It's nearly impossible to find a great steak on the Vegas Strip for under $80 to $90 today. It's even more difficult to spend less than $150 on a meal at a Las Vegas steakhouse when an appetizer, à la carte side, dessert, and drink are added. Thankfully, there are deals at a handful of steakhouses that will help value-seekers in the mood for a nice hunk of beef.
We're not looking for cheap eats this time; we're looking for fine-dining meals at a discount. Some are available for dinner, while others are lunch specials. There's even a great steakhouse happy hour with the most adorable treats called lil' burgers.
Gordon Ramsay Steakhouse inside Paris Las Vegas is visually stunning, delicious, and low-key fun for a fine dining restaurant. The celebrity chef's steakhouse is more than just another restaurant to get his signature beef Wellington, although it's obviously popular and available.
It's a modern take on a steakhouse that isn't quite as stuffy as some of the traditional restaurants. Even the most traditional steakhouse fan will love the cart that brings out the different cuts for guests to choose from.
Earlier this summer, Caesars Entertainment dropped a slew of specials at its Las Vegas casinos. Hidden in plain sight are three deals at Gordon Ramsay Steakhouse for different guests and times of day.
The meal prices are small, medium, and large, but all are deals. For reference in pricing out the deals, a New York strip is $85.99, and Ramsay's famous beef Wellington is $84.99.
Weekend Lunch Prix Fixe ($70)
This is available on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The three-course lunch includes Ramsay's signature Caesar salad, roasted beef Wellington, and sticky toffee pudding.
Bar Top Prix Fixe Menu ($119.99)
This deal is particularly good for solo travelers who don’t like sitting alone inside a restaurant but don’t mind the bar. Skip the main dining room table and sit directly at the lounge bar. The three-course bar menu features Ramsay's signature staples.
Limited Edition Tasting Menu ($199.99)
This four-course meal is available nightly in the main dining room. The menu features an amuse-bouche, Scotch egg, steak course, and dessert. There are summer deals at multiple Gordon Ramsay restaurants for anyone who prefers some of his other dishes.
STK ushered in a new era of vibe steakhouses. There aren't many around because not everyone looking to eat steak also needs a DJ dropping sick beats while they dine and chat with friends.
The decor is super modern, and the atmosphere is fun if you're looking for a different experience at The Cosmopolitan. This summer, STK has a Vegas Steak Night deal for $69, available Sunday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and 10 p.m. to close.
This is a four-course meal that includes the choice between a 6-ounce filet or an 8-ounce skirt steak for the main. Guests also choose a side, dessert, and appetizer.
Happy Hour Bonus: The infamous Lil' BRG is an option for the first course, and it's also available during the 7-7-7 Happy Hour for, you guessed it, $7. The tiny burgers are delicious and perfect for a happy-hour snack, and pair well with any of the $10 wines.
Guests looking to upgrade their happy-hour snack can get a 4-ounce filet for $30. Personally, I'd rather have four lil' burgers for a couple bucks less.
Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak at MGM Grand was one of the first upscale celebrity chef steakhouses inside of a Las Vegas casino when it opened in 2002. 25 years later, it's still going strong and remains a great restaurant to grab dinner before an event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Craftsteak is known for being on the high side of expensive steakhouses. There are rarely deep discounts for guests. But that changes with MGM's Taste of Summer menu. Some of the special menus available this summer aren't deals, but this one is, and the $85 dinner starts with a cocktail.
Dinner starts with a special Summer Old Fashioned, which is worth $25 alone.
The first course options are Caesar salad or hamachi crudo, each priced at more than $20 on the menu.
The star of this steak dinner is the center-cut 6-ounce filet mignon. The 8-ounce filet on the menu alone is $76, so the smaller steak should cost about $57. Guests can also opt for halibut or chicken.
While a side is included in the meal, dessert will cost an extra $10.
Ordering everything a la carte would be well over $100, making this one of the best Taste of Summer deals from MGM Resorts.
This is a deal at a Las Vegas steakhouse, but it’s not for a steak. A steakhouse burger can be both controversial and delicious. If you fall in the latter category, this might be right up your alley.
Peter Luger's started as a steakhouse in Brooklyn, N.Y. It's tried expanding to other locations, but its newest home at Caesars Palace has become a hot spot in Las Vegas, in part because of its Power Lunch special.
You won't get the exact same old-school steakhouse experience as the 139-year-old restaurant in New York. There’s an experience and environment, inside and out, that are unique to the area, so they do their best to replicate it despite being a steakhouse inside a casino.
The Power Lunch is $49.95 and only available from Wednesday through Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The main course options on this menu feature the famous burger, which is normally $28.99 on its own. Add the appetizer, side, and dessert, and you have a solid deal.
Peter Luger's is an expensive restaurant, deal or not, but this is a way to get part of the experience at a portion of the price.
StripSteak at Mandalay Bay is criminally underrated. It's one of the few Las Vegas steakhouses that cook their steak over a wood-fired grill. The taste is noticeable and rarely seen.
The steak isn’t the only difference from other steakhouses. Instead of serving bread before the meal, StripSteak serves duck fat fries with three dipping sauces. They're delicious, and it's a nice change of pace.
The regular menu has many items prepared with duck fat. The three-course Taste of Summer meal is $89.99 and allows guests to choose their dishes:
The steak is one ounce smaller than the $66 filet on the main menu, so this isn’t the biggest discount. However, it’s a great excuse to try a steakhouse that’s a bit off the beaten path away from the casino floor on the way to the convention space.
