LAS VEGAS – The Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) just hit 30 years under the Electric Sky, but next year’s festival is set to be bigger than ever.
Insomniac unveiled Tuesday evening that EDC Las Vegas 2027 will expand into two separate festival weekends as part of a new “Dusk Till Dawn” experience spanning 12 days in May.
The first weekend will be EDC Dusk from May 14-16, followed by EDC Dawn from May 21-23. The full Dusk Till Dawn experience will run from May 13-24, with the two weekends linked together with EDC Week events throughout Las Vegas. The artist lineups for both weekends are expected to be the same.
Tickets for the 2027 festival will fly off the digital racks starting Friday, May 22, at 12 p.m PST, via FrontGate.
This will be the first time that any EDC has been split across two weekends. But according to Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella, this change has been a long time coming. The company had long wanted to expand the festival format, but needed time to sort out the logistics.
“We’re expanding the EDC Las Vegas experience into 12 amazing days with EDC Week and special events bridging into two festival weekends,” Rotella said in a media release. "I'm excited to share something we've been dreaming about for years."
Many EDC attendees have taken to social media to criticize the festival’s overcrowding, especially this year. Rotella said that splitting the festival into two weekends will help create more space inside the festival and reduce the crowd congestion that attendees experienced this year.
Rotella added that both weekends will operate at lower capacities to improve hotel accommodations, airport travel, and traffic congestion going in and out of the festival.
The move is one of the biggest changes in EDC Las Vegas history. Many fans hoped the festival would be split into two weekends at some point, similar to Ultra Music Festival, Coachella, and Tomorrowland.
Insomniac also revealed that they’ll be dramatically dropping ticket prices for EDC Las Vegas in 2027 compared to past years. Layaway plans will be available with a $5 deposit, and no payments will be due until July. Initial pricing for the festival is below:
One-Weekend EDC Pass Pricing (All-in Pricing)
Two-Weekend EDC Pass for EDC Dusk Till Dawn (All-in Pricing)
“We’re bringing ticket prices closer to what they were a decade ago, helping to ease the cost of your trip to Vegas,” Rotella said.
This is great news for longtime attendees who have watched prices climb over the years and may even have been priced out of attending the festival. Both weekends will feature the same lineup and production experience, so choosing one over the other won't mean anyone misses out on any artists.
Camp EDC and Hotel EDC are also set to run both weekends next year.
Over the years, EDC has become a huge part of Las Vegas nightlife. EDC Week has become a major Las Vegas tourism event in May, featuring special club performances, hotel experiences, and pop-ups at casinos like Westgate. 2026’s iteration of the festival even brought the first World Party Parade to the Strip and new rave gear pop-up shops to The Cosmopolitan and Luxor.
The new two-weekend model should only help distribute attendance more evenly across the city while increasing demand for hotels, nightlife events, and travel experiences tied to the festival.
“I hope you can feel the excitement and see the vision for what Dusk Till Dawn will become,” Rotella said. “I can’t wait to share this experience with you under the electric sky.”
Details regarding the artist lineups, programming, themes, and events for 2027 will be updated as soon as they are announced.
