LAS VEGAS – Thousands of ravers from around the world will flock to Las Vegas in a week for the 30th anniversary of Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) from May 15-17. To help people suit up for the occasion, The Cosmopolitan and Luxor Hotel and Casino will become one-stop shops for everything a raver might need for the event, not limited to pasties, pashminas, rhinestones, and furry boots.
The event is the largest dance music festival in North America. Last year, it attracted roughly 525,000 attendees across all three days to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
A new pop-up, aptly called Cosmic Rave, will debut at The Cosmopolitan, while Lux Rave will return to Luxor for the 11th year. The pop-ups are free to visit and open to the general public, including those who aren't attending EDC. They run before and after the festival, and close once EDC wraps up on May 17.
The Cosmic Rave pop-up will be the first of its kind to be at The Cosmopolitan. Considering the property’s location near properties like Planet Hollywood, Bellagio, and Aria, it’s another convenient option for anyone staying in the middle of the Strip.
The pop-up will be open May 13-16 in the Gracia Ballroom on Level 3 of the Boulevard Tower. Shoppers can browse outfits and accessories like kandi bracelets, two-piece sets, pashminas, fur boots, and giant hand fans. Appointments for special hair and makeup will be offered via Lunautics, a festival beauty bar company specializing in glam makeup, braids, and pigtail hair styles.
Cosmic Rave will be open on these dates and times:
There will also be several branded activations and photo opportunities during the event. Expect a 360-degree camera experience, where groups step onto a platform, and a camera arm rotates around them to capture a slow-motion video clip. White Claw representatives will be on site to give out samples of their Surge seltzer, and Bacardi will have a body-marbling station with photo opportunities.
Spiegelworld, the company behind shows like Absinthe at Caesars Palace, will have a large photo-op setup, and Undo Gummies will give away some of their hangover-prevention gummies (ideal for the occasion). Rancher Hat Bar, The Cosmopolitan’s custom hat shop, will also be offering hat customization services at the pop-up.
For yet another year, Luxor is bringing back the Lux Rave pop-up inside the Egyptian Ballroom for anyone staying on the south end of the strip who needs to stock up on gear for EDC.
This pop-up has been a mainstay for people needing accessories and runs longer than the one at the Cosmopolitan from May 12 to May 17.
Lux Rave will be open during the following dates and times:
This year’s edition will offer similar options to Cosmic Rave, along with plus-size fashion for men and women. Representatives from White Claw Surge, Bacardi, Red Bull, Beatbox, and Liquid IV will be on the floor throughout the week to hand out product samples. There will also be a photo booth experience in partnership with K PhotoLavie.
