The free Downtown Rocks Summer Concert Series returns to the Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas this May. No tickets are required for general admission, and the free concerts are open to all ages.

Unlike most free entertainment in Las Vegas, this annual summer concert series features national touring performers. The series begins May 15 and continues into October, with more free concerts to be added as summer approaches.

This year, Downtown Rocks will offer a new mix of genres and unexpected performances, starting with a different kind of rock.

Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum country star Lee Brice will headline the first show on May 15, joined by up-and-coming singer-songwriter Austin Williams and pop-country artist Grace Tyler. The free concert is presented by the Academy of Country Music, which holds its awards ceremony two days later on May 17 at the MGM Grand.

The concerts take place on the 1st Street Stage near CircaGolden Gate, and the Plaza, or on the 3rd Street Stage near The D, Four Queens, and Fremont Casino. All dates and locations are noted below.

2026 Downtown Rocks Concert Schedule

The 2026 Downtown Rocks free concert series features new and returning performers throughout the summer:

  • Saturday, May 30 – Crossfade and Trapt (3rd Street Stage)
  • Saturday, June 13 – Fuel (1st Street Stage)
  • Saturday, June 27 – Finger 11 (3rd Street Stage)
  • Saturday, July 4 – George Birge (3rd Street Stage)
  • Saturday, July 11 – Sleeping with Sirens (3rd Street Stage)
  • Saturday, Aug. 8 – Mayday Parade (3rd Street Stage)
  • Saturday, Aug. 22 – Story of the Year (1st Street Stage)
  • Saturday, Oct. 10 – Maggie Lindemann (1st Street Stage)

Several weekends remain open in the initial announcement. Visit the Downtown Rocks page on the Fremont Street Experience website for the current lineup.

Seriously: Fremont Street Experience Is Going To Be Packed

Downtown Rocks is a fantastic free concert series every summer, and it shows. In a news release, Cliff Atkinson, president and CEO of Fremont Street Experience, said:

“Our outdoor Summer Concert Series draws thousands of fans on any given night, from Las Vegas locals to visitors from across the country and around the world.

News releases are typically meant to build excitement, but in this case, Atkinson actually understated just how popular Downtown Rocks is.

Since no tickets are required for general admission, the Fremont Street Experience will be extremely crowded. Arrive early for the best spots closest to the stage.

The large crowds can make Fremont Street’s pedestrian mall difficult to navigate. Walking from one end near the Plaza to the El Cortez can take two or three times as long as usual.

Those not fond of large crowds may want to avoid the area. One alternative is to walk one block north to Ogden Avenue to escape the congestion.

Go VIP for a Better View!

VIP options for Downtown Rocks 2026 haven't been announced yet, but there may be a few choices for those who want to see the shows without standing in a sea of people.

Last year, the Fremont Street Experience offered a promotion for VIP passes, a great option for fans who want a dedicated viewing area with fewer crowds. Promotions for this year have not been announced. Follow @fremontstreet on Instagram for updates.

Some of the casinos surrounding the stages may offer passes to watch from a private viewing area. Frequent visitors to those properties can check with a casino host to see if passes are available for specific shows.
