Four Queens Las Vegas Review for February 2026

Located right in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas, Four Queens Hotel and Casino has been hosting Las Vegas visitors since 1966.

Although it offers a rich Vegas history and classic style, it also stands under the world’s largest and most high-tech LED video screen in the world – the Fremont Street Experience.

Four Queens, therefore, provides an interesting mix of old and new, and for many this is exactly what Downtown Las Vegas is all about.

With a prime corner location and some of the most distinctive crown-shaped sparkly neon signage that you’ll find anywhere in Sin City, Four Queens is a retro Vegas-icon. But what is it like to stay and gamble there? I went along to find out.

♦️ An Overview of Four Queens

The Four Queens, sometimes written as 4 Queens, was developed by Ben Goffstein, the former president of the Riviera casino resort. The Riviera had opened on the Strip in 1955 and was something of a trail blazer, becoming the first skyscraper in the Las Vegas Valley.

Goffstein opened Four Queens casino on 2 June 1966, and an eight-storey hotel followed two months later. Additional hotel towers were added in 1969 and again in 1981.

The ‘4 Queens’ name was a tribute to Goffstein’s four daughters with each considered a variation of the Queen playing card: Faith (the Queen of Hearts), Hope (the Queen of Diamonds), Benita (the Queen of Clubs), and Michele (the Queen of Spades).

Unfortunately, Goffstein died just a year after Four Queens opened so he didn’t get to see the resort develop the way he had planned. His vice-president Tommy Callahan took over, and for the first six years, the Four Queens was famous for only charging $10 a night.

From 1973 to 2003, Four Queens was operated by a subsidiary of Hyatt Hotels and underwent a $5 million refurbishment in 1995 to coincide with the development of the Fremont Street Experience.

It was then sold to TLC Casino Enterprises in 2003, and a further $20 million refurbishment project was completed by 2007. TLC Casino Enterprises continue to run Four Queens today as well as sister property Binion’s Gambling Hall and Hotel which is diagonally opposite.

Four Queens has always prided itself on offering excellent value to Las Vegas visitors. Despite almost every other hotel in Vegas charging resort fees, Four Queens have steadfastly refused to charge it. It’s certainly a unique selling point of the resort and one of the reasons it remains a popular choice for new and returning visitors.

For anyone who doesn’t know what resort fees are, they are an additional nightly charge applied to almost every hotel room in Las Vegas.

The fees are to cover things like Wi-Fi, gyms, pools, business services, and they are mandatory whether you use these services or not. It’s too big an issue to go into here, but the general gist is, people don’t like paying them. So, the fact that Four Queens don’t charge them is a big plus for some.

🎰 Games at Four Queens

Four Queens has a casino floor of around 27,200 square feet which is small for Vegas, but about average for downtown casinos. It has a lot of gaming though, which means the casino floor is tightly packed and, honestly, quite cramped in some places.

I had a good walk around and although many of the games are modern, the feel of the place is definitely more old-school. If you want a taste of what Vegas used to be like, then this a good place to go.

The furniture, décor, carpets and lighting are all very dated, but that doesn’t mean it’s unpleasant. It’s more classic. The lighting in particular is pretty impressive with lots of glass chandeliers and gold finishing. The only downside for me is the smoky playing environment.

Slots

There is a really good mix of old and new slots at Four Queens. I found some of the most modern slots just released but there was a wide selection of traditional three and five reel slots too.

You’ll find over 1,000 slots in total and my only real complaint about them is the lay out. Most of the slots are in rows so it means you are playing elbow to elbow with other players. On previous visits I have had to keep moving games because I felt crowded out in some areas and couldn’t really relax.

That’s the downside to having so much game variety in such a tight space I suppose. And for many players it won’t be an issue.

Games included the new Whitney Houston slot, NFL Superbowl Jackpots, Tarzan, Lightning Link, Mega Bucks, Dragon Link, Double Top Dollar and Wheel of Fortune.

I found a game here that I haven’t seen anywhere else, Big Fish Grand. Although it ended up taking all of my money, it was worth it for the laugh I got playing it. I highly recommend anyone to give it a go if you get a chance.

Table Games

The table games are positioned right in the centre of the casino and have some nice feature lighting above them.

There are around 25/26 in total offering mostly blackjack, but I also saw roulette, craps, Three Card Poker and Let It Ride Poker too.

Historically, Four Queens have often been pioneers when it comes to table games. In 1996, they debuted the world’s largest blackjack table and in 2003 they were the first casino to offer Blackjack Switch which is now widely available.

I couldn’t see a single zero roulette wheel on offer, just double and the dreaded triple zero roulette too. Blackjack was paying out 6:5 and table minimums started from around $10/$15.

The games were really busy on my visit so I didn’t get the chance to play but it was a lively pit area. The tables and chairs were in ok condition, they just looked well-used and a little worn, but perfectly acceptable to play on and the atmosphere was fun and playful.

There isn’t a poker room at Four Queens, but they do offer an excellent selection of video poker with some of the best payouts you’ll find in Vegas.

Sports Betting

You can place sports wagers at Four Queens in the small William Hill sports betting area. This is just off the main casino floor and has a desk, an odds board, some TV’s and a few high tables with stools.

It doesn’t come close to comparing to the likes of Circa sportsbook just a few minutes’ walk away, but it serves a purpose if you want to place bets.

🛏️ Accommodation

Four Queens has a total of 690 rooms spread over two hotel towers. At the time of writing, only the South Tower is available to book as the North Tower is undergoing a complete $24 million renovation. It is due to be completed by the end of 2025.

The Four Queens hotel reception is to the rear of the property, furthest away from Fremont Street. The reception leads directly from the casino and is bright and modern in design.

I booked a standard South Tower Room which was 325 square foot. Although a little on the small side, it’s pretty standard for downtown Las Vegas which tend to be smaller than hotels on the Strip.

My room was pleasant and comfortable, if not particularly impressive. The colour scheme was mostly mahogany, dark red and white and it was clean throughout.

There was a big double wardrobe on entry with mirrored doors, a chest of drawers, desk and chair and bedside table with lamp. Although it was mostly well maintained, the furniture did have some surface damage on it, such as scratches and chipped wood.

The bathroom was medium sized with a single sink, a large shower and of course, the toilet. There was no bathtub, but there were complimentary toiletries and some nice feature lighting above the mirror.

Amenities wise, there was a TV that was quite dated, a coffee maker, a safe, and a good-sized fridge for personal use. I also had a nice view overlooking the north side of the Strip, with the Strat and Fontainebleau in the distance.

Although it lacked a little character, overall I would say the room was actually very good value for the price, especially without an added resort fee. Because my room was at the rear of the property, I wasn’t disturbed by the sounds of Fremont Street. However, I have heard that this can be an issue with rooms at the front.

Suite options are available at Four Queens if you want a little more space and luxury. Following on the royalty theme, the suites are the Nobel Suite, Royal Suite, Regal Suite, with the most luxurious being the Imperial Suite.

🛎️ Services and Facilities

As we’ve already touched on, Four Queens is all about offering value. As well as the affordable accommodation, the resort also has plenty of food options and some entertainment too.

However, Four Queens doesn’t have a pool, a gym or a spa, so this is one of the reasons it doesn’t charge resort fees. Guests do have use of the rooftop pool at sister hotel Binion’s though if you still want a dip.

Parking for hotel guests is $5 per day unless you are a member of the All Access Players Club, in which case, its free. Non-resident guests do pay for parking, however, this can be validated by hotel staff if gambling or eating in one of the on-site restaurants. WIFI is free for all guests in the resort.

Food and Drink

Food is one of the areas that Four Queens really shines. Hugo’s Cellar is the most talked-about restaurant here offering an intimate and unique Las Vegas dining experience.

Hugo’s is accessible from the main casino floor via a few steps which take you down into a brick-lined cellar. Here you’ll find cosy booths and tables in a romantic setting with a high-end menu consisting of speciality dishes such as Maple Bourbon Duck and Veal Scallopini.

Ladies are given a long-stemmed rose on arrival and it sets the tone for a nice romantic evening for special occasions. Reservations are recommended as tables are limited.

The other really popular restaurant at Four Queen is Magnolias Veranda. Right next door to Hugo’s Cellar on the casino floor, but this time up a few stairs, Magnolia’s serves value comfort food overlooking the casino.

Open every day 7am until 2am, Magnolia’s offers a varied breakfast menu as well as all the usual favourites of burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, soups, and pasta and all at affordable prices.

If you want something even more casual, the Chicago Brewing Company is right next door to Magnolia’s serving a wide variety of handcrafted micro brews and appetisers.

Open every day 11.30am until 1.30am, you can grab a drink and a choice of snacks while overlooking the casino floor. I’ve been here a couple of times and it always has a really nice atmosphere.

For food on the go, you have four options at Four Queens. Towards the entrance there is a Wana Taco, and inside there is a small food court with Subway, Dreyer’s Ice Cream & Yoghurt and Noble Roman’s Pizza.

Drinks wise, there is a main casino bar with bar-top games and the Patio Bar which is outside overlooking the Fremont Street Experience. In my experience, this is a perfect spot for people watching and also for watching bands on one of the main Fremont Street stages.

Attractions and Entertainment

Four Queens has two resident shows every Tuesday to Saturday in the Canyon Club.

At 7pm, Mike Hammer Comedy Magic Show takes place with an age limit of 13years+. The interactive show lasts 70-minutes but with lots of audience anticipation so no two shows are the same. Expect magic tricks, razor blade swallowing, jokes, pranks, and a bit of mind reading too.

Then at 9pm, the Hypnosis Unleashed show takes over with award-winning hypnotist Kevin Lepine. This is a 75 minute show for strictly over 18’s with comedy hypnotism and all the usual crazy antics that that brings.

Right outside the doors of Four Queens, you have the thoroughly entertaining Fremont Street Experience. Not only does it have nightly live music on several stages, there is also street entertainers, half-hour nightly Viva Vision shows on the huge LED canopy and the Slotzilla Zipline too.

Plus, the Mob Museum, Container Park and 11 other casinos are all within 10 minutes’ walk of Four Queens. You’ll definitely never be short on entertainment on Fremont Street.

Waitress Service

As with all Vegas casinos, you can get complimentary drinks from the waitresses white gambling at Four Queens. They will usually approach and ask if you want ‘cocktails’ but you can order beer, spirits, wine or soft drinks too.

Although the drinks are free, tips are expected, so be sure to give between $1 - $5 dollars per drink depending on what you order. I have always received good waitress service at Four Queens which is another perk of the casino.

♿ Accessibility at Four Queens

Four Queens is accessible to people with restricted mobility. The casino is all on one floor, and lift access is provided between hotel floors and casino restaurants.

The only factor to consider is the spacing between the games which can be tight.

Electric scooters and manual wheelchairs are available for rent by guests staying in the Four Queens hotel. Contact the Bell Desk for details.

In terms of the hotel, there are speciality adapted rooms available for those with accessibility needs.

💰 Bonuses and Promotions

The All Access Players Club is the rewards programme at Four Queens. It can also be used at sister property Binion’s Gambling Hall and Hotel.

It’s free to join, you just need to take some photographic ID along with you and you can sign up at the Players Club desk.

Once registered, you can start earning points every time you gamble at Four Queens and Binion’s. If you’re playing slots or video poker, just insert your card into the game, and if you’re playing at the tables, then give your card to your dealer and ask to be rated.

Not only will you receive Comp Dollars, but you’ll also receive Cash Back on your spending (excluding tables games), which is quite unusual for Las Vegas.

All Access Players Club members earn one point for every $5 played on slots and every $8 on video poker. Every 40 points earned equals $1 Cash Back and $2 Comp Dollars which can be spent on restaurant and gift shop purchases in resort plus towards hotel costs.

For guests 55 years or over, there is a special club within a club called the 55 Club. These All Access Players Club members get additional perks such as 10% off Four Queens and Binion’s restaurants, 10% off standard room rates, plus a birthday 2-4-1 meal at Magnolia’s.

All members of the All Access Players Club get invites to special promotions and members only draws. One of the current promotions is the Daily Spin-Splosion where you can win up to $100 free play each day.

🎇 My Experience at Four Queens

I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy staying at Four Queens as I had heard mixed reports, particularly about the rooms and the noise from Fremont Street. However, I actually had a good experience.

I had already visited the casino numerous times and found it to be a little hit and miss in terms of enjoyment. I love the classic feel to the place, the traditional surroundings, and there’s just something special about playing somewhere with so much history and character.

However, I’m not keen on the close layout of the games and the smoky environment. I, therefore, never know whether I’m going to love it and stay for a while, or feel uncomfortable and leave after a few minutes.

On this visit, however, I had a nice time. The table games were really busy but the slots were fine and I played for a long time, especially on that fish game!

It was the first time I’d actually stayed in the hotel and for the cost of the room, it was excellent value. It obviously had its limitations in terms of décor and maintenance, but in terms of size, cleanliness and amenities it was well worth the price.

💭 My Verdict on Four Queens

Four Queens offers a good value property right in the heart of Downtown Las Vegas. With the Fremont Street Experience on its doorstop, two nightly shows and a variety of good restaurant and bar options, there is plenty to keep you busy.

The hotel rooms are average-sized and plainly decorated but clean and comfortable. Plus, you get a coffee maker and your own large fridge, which is a bonus.

Gaming wise, the casino offers a wide variety of old and new slots plus some much-loved table games too. Waitress service is good and the general customer service was excellent throughout my stay.

Let’s be honest, Four Queens will not give you a full glitzy five star Vegas experience. If that’s what you want then try Circa down the road, or one of the big Strip resorts.

However, Four Queens will give you value, comfort, an old-school Vegas vibe and a great base to enjoy Downtown Las Vegas. Plus, because the rooms are affordable and there’s no resort fees, it gives you more spending money to enjoy in the casino.
