July is a festive month in Las Vegas, even by the city's standards. Eight consecutive Saturdays of fireworks are lighting up the Strip as part of America's 250th anniversary celebrations, and the sports calendar picks back up this month with International Fight Week and UFC 329 anchoring the month. The music scene is keeping pace — July is loaded with returning resident performers and a handful of major national tours rolling through town.
The Las Vegas music scene might feel a little familiar, since July is filled with the same popular resident performers taking the stage in the casinos. There are also a handful of big national concert tours stopping in Sin City to complement those shows.
Part of the appeal of Vegas modern residencies and limited engagements is that performers return to the city throughout the year for their unique shows. While some may tour around the world, their shows are "Only in Vegas" experiences. New Kids On The Block are one such performer riding out their inaugural "The Right Stuff" residency, which will close out in October at Park MGM.
This is a rare month with only returning resident performers. There are no new acts, although Kenny Chesney's residency at The Sphere just kicked off in June. He canceled two dates originally scheduled for July 3 and 4 to enjoy Fourth of July festivities with his family, but fortunately, fans of the country star can still see him on July 1, 8, 10, or 11.
While many tourists will descend on Las Vegas for the July 4 holiday weekend, the rest of the shows are spread out fairly evenly all month. This includes three-time Grammy Award winner Kelly Clarkson at Caesars Palace, where she will be in the second half of July.
Barry Manilow fans in particular might want to prioritize a visit to Las Vegas to see one of his residency shows. The 83-year-old singer has been dealing with health issues over the past year and might not be long for touring around the world.
Lookahead: Marc Anthony and Kelly Clarkson’s limited engagements continue through Aug. 1. Tim McGraw will be returning to Caesars Palace for another limited engagement on Oct. 23, 24, and Nov. 4, 6, and 7. This technically isn’t a music residency, but Rocky Horror Picture Show is coming to the Sphere in 2027.
There are a couple of major arena tours in Las Vegas this month, as well as a couple of huge stadium concerts.
Ed Sheeran at Allegiant Stadium is the marquee event of the month for national touring acts. His stadium shows have consistently sold out across his current world tour.
Lookahead: AC/DC is performing at Allegiant Stadium on Aug. 1.
