LAS VEGAS – Tourism to Las Vegas and hotel occupancy were both down last year, so some casino operators are leaning into value-driven promotions to bring people back to the city that never sleeps. Plaza Hotel and Casino is one of them, with the return of its all-inclusive summer hotel deal for the third time.
The downtown property was the first Las Vegas casino hotel to introduce an all-inclusive room package, and the promotion was popular enough with guests that the property has continued to bring it back each year since 2024. The offer starts at $104 per person for summer stays booked between June 1 and August 31. The lowest rates around are typically for midweek stays, with higher prices expected on weekends.
“We always want our guests to have a great time and feel that they are getting the best value for their vacation dollars,” Plaza CEO Jonathan Jossel said in a statement. “Our all-inclusive hotel package has been created based on our guests’ feedback and offers waived resort fees, meals, bottomless drinks, and other perks to ensure they have a memorable experience.”
At a time when tourism to Las Vegas has declined declined, the Plaza’s summer hotel deal is reminiscent of old-school Vegas deals that were meant to give guests true bang for their buck rather than stacking on fees at check-out.
The package waives the Plaza’s $39 nightly resort fee while still providing complimentary access to amenities, including the fitness center, rooftop pool, and parking garage. Early check-in before 3 p.m. is included when available, along with complimentary bottled water. It’s another reminder that this is a city where even basic hydration often comes at a price.
Dining is partially covered through vouchers for breakfast and dinner. This deal is applicable to specific Plaza restaurants, including Hash House A Go Go, Fresh Mexican Grill, Pop Up Pizza, and the Coffee Bar. As with many Vegas dining offers, the voucher does not cover gratuity.
Unlimited drinks are available at the Omaha Bar and Sports Book bar on the casino floor as part of the package, though expectations should be realistic. The offering covers well drinks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, so save your money to use on their premium cocktails. It can make for an awesome pregame before heading out onto Fremont Street. Additionally, guests will receive a wristband for a 25% discount on cocktails at the Plaza’s rooftop pool.
The Plaza also highlights the happy hour at Oscar’s Steakhouse from 5 to 7 p.m. as part of the deal, though the promotion is available to all guests and not exclusive to the package. But it still makes for a bargain if you want to enjoy some appetizers and cocktails without the price tag you’d expect from a steakhouse named after a former Las Vegas mayor.
As with any older Vegas property, perceptions of the Plaza can vary across the board. One Reddit user joked that they’ve “tried and tried over the years” but the hotel has never quite been able to eliminate what they called the lingering “Plaza funk.” Still, the property’s location remains a major selling point.
Situated on the west end of Fremont Street, the Plaza places guests within walking distance of other casinos like Golden Gate, Circa, Golden Nugget. Just walking around the area is a fun experience of its own. And for those who want to party until the sun comes up, there’s limitless nightlife options all around the downtown Las Vegas area.
While the Plaza may not be among Las Vegas’ most luxury resorts, the all-inclusive package has become one of its’ proudest offerings, especially among budget travelers looking to avoid the added fees that come with a stay in Sin City. The property has also leaned into guest-friendly offerings on the gaming side with its full non-smoking casino with slots and table games.
For travelers interested in staying downtown and locking in affordable vacation costs, the deal is a practical option once you know what you’re signing up for.
