Find Your Zen at New 'Yoga with Sharks' Series at Mandalay Bay

Vegas casinos continue to lean into the wellness lifestyle with yoga, pilates, and workout classes in unique settings. Mandalay Bay is the latest to join the trend, offering “Yoga with Sharks” deep inside their Shark Reef Aquarium. 

A guided 60-minute class with breathwork (breathing control and focus) will be held in the Seascape Room with the 1.3-million-gallon Shipwreck Exhibit as a backdrop.

The aquarium is home to more than 2,000 marine animals, including sharks, giant rays, and endangered green sea turtles. Class will commence from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with check-in starting at 9:15 a.m. Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended due to the room's limited capacity.

The yoga class will be held in the middle of every month the rest of this year on Sept. 12, Oct. 10, Nov. 14, and Dec. 12. Tickets for Yoga with Sharks are available online for $49 and include same-day general admission access to the aquarium after the class. 

You can bring your own yoga supplies, though mats and blocks will be offered at the aquarium. Attendees must be 13 or older, and 13-to-17-year-olds must be accompanied by an adult over 18.

The Shark Reef Aquarium celebrated its 25th anniversary last June, having opened at Mandalay Bay in 2000, a little over a year after the hotel and casino debuted. Today, the attraction has 1.6 million gallons of water and 14 exhibits, offering visitors an experience that is both entertaining and educational.
