LAS VEGAS – Less than three years ago, Circa Sports launched in Illinois to expand its sports betting reach in the Midwest two years after gaining an initial presence in Iowa. Since then, the Las Vegas-based sportsbook operator has formed partnerships with the Chicago-area Marquee Sports Network, the Chicago Blackhawks, the St. Louis Blues, and the Kansas City Royals. Last Monday, Circa Sports became the presenting partner of The Score’s new FM station, 104.3.
The Score (WSCR) has been the home of sports betting talk in Chicago for over 30 years and just launched its FM station on Feb. 2, while still residing on the AM dial at 670. Circa Resort & Casino and CEO Derek Stevens was in the Windy City on Monday for the launch and believes this is one more positive step towards building his brand.
“Circa Sports is honored to have been chosen as studio sponsor for 104.3 The Score,” Stevens said. “The enhanced media relationship between The Score and Circa Sports allows for a greater push within the Chicago market.”
The partnership gives Circa Sports daily exposure in one of the country’s largest sports media markets and a long-established voice in Chicago sports talk.
Back in January, Missouri's Blues (NHL) and Royals (MLB) became the latest professional sports teams to be added as betting partners with Circa Sports, joining the NHL’s Blackhawks and Vegas Golden Knights and MLB’s San Diego Padres. The Show-Me State legalized sports gambling in November 2024 and officially launched betting last December.
“Circa Sports is excited to have the opportunity to partner with the Kansas City Royals for the first baseball season of legalized sports betting in the state of Missouri,” Stevens said. “The partnership between the Royals and Circa Sports allows for a focus on the West side of the state through various marketing, TV and radio elements.”
The Royals became partners with Circa Sports on Jan. 30 at their Royals Rally Casino Night at Kauffman Stadium, awarding 10 exclusive prize packages for two-night stays at Circa Resort & Casino in Las Vegas as part of the event.
Meanwhile, earlier last month the Blues launched a promotion with Circa Sports in which two lucky winners would also be randomly awarded a trip to Circa Resort & Casino after each home win the rest of the regular season.
“The St. Louis Blues are an important staple of Missouri sports, and we are excited to get to know their loyal fanbase,” Stevens said in a press release announcing the promo. “We want to bring our Las Vegas-born energy to their home games, so what better way than to bring them to Circa in downtown Las Vegas so they can experience it firsthand.”
