WATCH: High-Roller Slots Guru Wins $1M Dragon Link Jackpot

We told you when we first heard about a slots vlogger hitting a million-dollar jackpot live on YouTube. 

Now here’s the video of the actual winning spin (and about 44 minutes of spins preceding it) by “Raja,” aka The Big Jackpot, real name Scott Richter. 

In this session on the Dragon Link slot by Aristocrat, Raja is chasing the “Grand” jackpot, a progressive on high-stakes machines that pays at least $1 million.

Raja begins this session with about $1,600, runs it up to almost $2,000 then drops down to about $1,200 before hitting a bonus for $27,000. He pocketed that ticket and started again with a fresh $2,000, which he then proceeds to whittle down to zero on mostly $25 spins, at which point he slips in the $27k and ups his ante to $250 per spin. 

“This is going on Snapchat,” he says a few times to promote his @rajaslots channel, where Richter calls himself "The Best Slots Player in the World.”

He’s down to about $15k when the Dragon Link machine starts to get hot, and he brings it up to $24k when he starts calling for a “minor, mini, anything!” referring to smaller jackpots that pay $15,000.

Compelling Slots Storylines

Meanwhile, did I just write a play-by-play recap of a slots session? I think I’m starting to get addicted. Not to slots, but to videos about slots. Who knew the games could be so compelling? Really, there’s drama and money and the unusual relationship between player and machine.

Throughout the video, Raja and his slots entourage are talking about hitting “the Grand,” they’re touching the machine with casino chips for luck for the Grand, and it’s all taking place in a “brand new” high-roller salon at Palazzo while he’s wearing his self-promotional #Raja shirt. 

While presumably not rigged, could it have been scripted any better?
