Station Casinos will celebrate 50 years in Las Vegas this July with fireworks and promotions across the city beginning July 1. Seven full-service casinos around Las Vegas will also offer live entertainment, gambling promotions, and giveaways throughout the month.
Frank Fertitta IV, senior vice president of operations for Station Casinos, says this is as much of a celebration for the community as it is the company.
“This milestone is truly a celebration of our guests, the locals who have supported us for generations, the communities that have evolved with us, and especially our Team Members, whose passion and dedication create unforgettable experiences every day.”
Station Casinos' properties are strategically located around Las Vegas. The casinos are located next to the freeways around town, away from the Vegas Strip. Palace Station, the company's first casino, is the closest to the Strip near the I-15 on Sahara.
Between existing casinos and those under construction, 70% of Las Vegas' population will be within five miles of a Station Casinos property.
The 50th anniversary celebration kicks off on July 1 with a fireworks and drone show at Palace Station. This will be the only fireworks show with drones and will likely be the only one visible from the Vegas Strip.
July 4 fireworks shows will take place at all of the Station Casinos properties below at 9 p.m:
There are complimentary viewing areas at each casino. Durango, Green Valley Ranch, and Red Rock Casino also have upgraded viewing areas that are $35 for adults and $10 for children.
One of the benefits of visiting local casinos is the ample promotions. Just about every property has a weekly giveaway day. You’re not considered a local until you’ve played slots while clutching on to your complimentary apple pies for the holidays.
Upper-tier rewards members may receive free gifts for status, while lower tiers have to reach a point plateau to qualify. Station Casinos is amping up the promotions for the month.
Boarding Pass rewards members will receive the following 50th anniversary promo items:
During the month, anyone who hits a slot jackpot for $2,000 or more will win a throwback satin casino jacket.
There will be vintage photo booths at each property where guests can buy physical or digital pictures for $5. Commemorative chips will also be available for purchase.
When complaints about high prices started getting loud last year, Station Casinos were among the first to offer food and beverage deals. Those are still in effect at all casino bars.
All Station Casino bars offer $1.99 margaritas, $3 beers, and $3 shots. Palace Station and Boulder Station also offer $2.99 shrimp cocktails for Boarding Pass members.
The 24/7 burger-and-fries deal for $5.99 and overnight specials from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., including $3.99 pancakes and $9.99 steak and eggs, will continue to be available in July.
