Land-based casinos in Rhode Island generated $51.8 million yearly in June 2025, a 1% decrease from the June 2024 total of $52.3 million. It was also a significant drop of 12.3% from May 2025, according to the report from the Rhode Island Lottery.
Of the two land-based casinos in the state, only Bally’s Tiverton saw an increase year-on-year in June. Tiverton Casino saw a rise of 5.4% from $11.9 million to $12.6 million.
Most of Bally’s Tiverton’s revenues came from video lottery terminals (VLT), with $11 million generated by these machines in June 2025. That rose from the $10.1 million brought in the previous year. The casino also added $1.5 million from table games, a fall from the $1.8 million generated in June 2024.
| Casino | June 2024 Revenue | June 2025 Revenue | Percentage Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bally’s Tiverton Casino | $11,927,703 | $12,566,589 | +5.4% |
| Bally’s Twin River Casino | $40,334,220 | $39,187,588 | -2.8% |
| Total | $52,261,923 | $51,754,177 | -1.0% |
Bally’s Twin River Casino saw a 2.8% decrease year-on-year in June, from $40.3 million in 2024 to $39.2 million. Considering that Bally’s Twin River Casino accounted for nearly 76% of statewide revenues, this wiped out the increases from Bally’s Tiverton and led to the statewide decline year-on-year.
Of the $39.2 million Bally’s Twin River Casino collected in June 2025, $30.8 million came from VLTs, accounting for almost 60% of the casino’s total revenues. That was a decline from the $32.2 million generated in June 2024. In contrast, table game revenue actually increased, rising from $8.1 million the year before to $8.4 million.
While land-based gambling in Rhode Island continued to underperform, as in April 2025, the online gambling market recently expanded its options, as Evolution games are now available in the state.
Bally’s Casino, which was granted exclusive rights to iGaming in Rhode Island in June 2023, has partnered with Swedish gaming powerhouse Evolution Gaming to expand the slots offered on its platform to Rhode Island residents.
Evolution’s online slots, which include games from NetEnt, Big Gaming, and Red Tiger, are now live on Bally's platform. While the deal doesn’t include live dealer games, this could be expanded. Evolution Gaming has an extensive suite of live dealer games, including future titles featuring branding from HASBRO properties like MONOPOLY, after the company signed an agreement at the start of July.
Bally’s Casino is limited to offering games already available in Rhode Island’s land-based casinos, including slots and live dealer table games.
Jacob Claesson, CEO of Evolution North America, said, “This agreement represents a significant step forward for both Evolution and Bally’s Corporation. We’re thrilled to deepen our collaboration with Bally’s by delivering world-class gaming experiences and extend our reach into Rhode Island, a first for Evolution. This partnership showcases our shared commitment to driving innovation and providing exceptional entertainment for players.”

My love for gambling and casinos started early when my grandad handed me a video poker machine as a kid, sparking a lifelong fascination with the game. I grew up watching Celebrity Poker religiously and that turned into my organizing March Madness bracket tournaments all throughout elementary and high school—making every March a high-stakes competition among friends before I was even old enough to place a real bet.
