Pennsylvania’s online casinos showed a 32% year-on-year growth in September revenues.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s (PGCB) latest monthly report shows that the state’s 12 iGaming operators generated $233.4 million in revenue in September this year, compared to $176.7 million in 2024, marking a 32.1% rise.
While the PA online casino sector has been thriving, the PGCB has been busy enforcing the state’s gaming regulations. Following a variety of infractions, the PGCB issued fines totaling $72,000 and added 11 players to an exclusion list.
Of the operators reporting in September, Hollywood Casino at Penn National continues to dominate the revenue table. It generated $87.7 million during the month, compared to $66.9 million last September, for a rise of 31%, while Valley Forge, in second place, grew its revenue by 40.8% from $47.1 million to $66.4 million.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has added the names of eleven more state residents to its involuntary exclusion lists, effectively banning them from all state-regulated gambling venues, including casinos, online betting platforms, and video gaming terminal locations.
Ten of those individuals were placed on the Involuntary Casino Exclusion List, with three cases involving adults who left children unattended while gambling.
In one incident, a man and woman left two children, ages 11 and 12, in a car outside Hollywood Casino Morgantown for over half an hour. Another woman left three children, ages 2, 6, and 12, in a vehicle at Hollywood Casino York while she played slot machines and table games.
The PGCB also issued $72,000 in fines, including $50,000 against a Lock Haven VGT establishment for allowing underage access, $12,000 to Live! Casino Philadelphia for using a compromised deck of cards, and $10,000 to Hollywood Casino York for admitting a banned patron.

My love for gambling and casinos started early when my grandad handed me a video poker machine as a kid, sparking a lifelong fascination with the game. I grew up watching Celebrity Poker religiously and that turned into my organizing March Madness bracket tournaments all throughout elementary and high school—making every March a high-stakes competition among friends before I was even old enough to place a real bet.
