The regulated online casino sector in Michigan showed a 33.1% increase in revenue year-on-year in September, according to the latest numbers.
The monthly report by the Michigan Gaming Control Board shows that the state’s 15 online casino operators generated a combined total of $243.4 million in gross revenue during September 2025, which was up from the $182.3 million in revenue seen in September 2024.
This rise came even though one operator, Sports Illustrated Casino, ceased operations before September this year.
FanDuel Casino, operated in partnership with Motor City Casino, has overtaken BetMGM as the market leader for revenue in Michigan. It recorded $65.6 million in September, up 54.3% from the $42.5 million it generated in September last year.

All but four of the state’s casino operators showed an increase in revenue, the most dramatic being Fanatics's 158.6% rise year-on-year, recorded through a partnership with the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians.
Other big improvers in September were Hollywood Casino, which showed an 84.2% revenue rise, Bet Parx, which recorded a 107.9% increase to $4 million, and BetRivers, with a 69.9 % increase to $18.8 million.
As the state’s top revenue generator, FanDuel has also introduced a new internet casino rewards program for players in Michigan.
The FanDuel Casino Rewards Club, which is also rolling out in New Jersey, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania, enables users to earn points based on play, with tiered levels granting access to incentives. The structure mirrors elements of loyalty programs used in other industries, including tier progression and periodic bonuses.
Michigan legalized iGaming in 2021 and has since become one of the most active markets in the country. The state’s regulatory structure allows licensed operators like FanDuel to offer online slots, table games, and other casino-style betting through partnerships with Indian tribal and commercial casino operators in the state.
The launch of a digital rewards system by FanDuel is a significant expansion of online engagement strategies within the Michigan online casino sector.
While it is common for land-based casinos to offer loyalty programs, online-only platforms have faced challenges in creating similar retention tools. However, with competition intensifying and the market continuing to grow, the launch of this new rewards program represents FanDuel’s strategy to engage players in Michigan’s iGaming market.
