Seeing a comedy show in a Las Vegas casino is unlike anywhere else. It’s a chance to see popular comedians in a unique, often intimate setting.
A few October shows highlight several examples of big-name comedians performing in smaller venues.
John Mulaney’s “Whatever” tour is taking him to venues of all sizes, including large arenas and a baseball stadium in his hometown of Chicago. In Las Vegas, he typically performs at the 5,200-seat Dolby Live at Park MGM. He could fill the nearby T-Mobile Arena, which holds about three times as many people but he’s a frequent performer in Las Vegas and usually sticks to the smaller venue.
He’s not the only comedian appearing in more intimate venues this month on the Strip. Sebastian Maniscalco plays arenas nationwide, but his Wynn residency has him on stage at the 1,500-seat Encore Theater. This month, he’ll perform two shows a night.
The Las Vegas stand-up calendar for October features a mix of touring performers and resident artists.
Lookahead: There are a handful of comedy shows on November 1. Adam Sandler is at Fontainebleau again, Chelsea Handler is at the Cosmopolitan, Jay Leno is at the MGM Grand and Sheng Wang is at The Venetian.
Daniel Tosh has held a Las Vegas residency for years. Before performing regularly at The Cosmopolitan, he was part of the Aces of Comedy lineup at The Mirage.
He moved to The Cosmopolitan when The Mirage closed last year. The property is being redeveloped as Hard Rock Las Vegas, which is slated to open in 2028.
The Cosmopolitan recently announced Tosh will perform four shows at The Chelsea in 2026.
Tickets for these shows go on sale on Nov. 15, which is after his performance this month.
Nikki Glaser and David Spade will move to Caesars Palace in 2026 after a multi-year residency at The Venetian.
The unlikely comedy duo will perform six shows together across three holiday weekends next year.
Tickets for all six shows are available now.
Many comedy fans prefer club shows to theaters and arenas. The venues are smaller and often feature up-and-coming comedians.
It’s no coincidence that I saw some of my favorite performers in clubs with only a few hundred people before they were widely known. John Mulaney, Dave Chappelle and others stand out to me because they were hysterical and just a few feet from my seat.
While the biggest names in stand-up play theaters and arenas in Las Vegas, many touring comedians stick to the clubs. A handful of comedy clubs are located inside or adjacent to casinos from one end of the Strip to the other.
Tickets for these shows are among the most affordable in Las Vegas entertainment. The lowest-priced comedy show tickets can be found at a club in the center of the Strip, just outside The Linq casino.
