LAS VEGAS – Las Vegas has never had an issue selling a drink, whether it’s a cheap one at happy hour or sky-high bottle service at a nightclub. People regularly spend double to quadruple digits on alcohol, especially on the Strip, just to get a good drink and celebrate.
But in September, cocktail connoisseurs will gather at four MGM casino-resorts on the Strip to celebrate cocktail culture at its finest.
Then the inaugural Drink Las Vegas festival will take place September 24th through 27th later this year, hosted by MGM Resorts International. The multi-day festival will take place across Bellagio, ARIA, The Cosmopolitan, and Park MGM. It will feature over 50 events and be the first to be fully dedicated to Las Vegas's highly celebrated drinking culture.
Drink Las Vegas will feature more than 50 events across four different MGM properties, offering a mix of drink tastings, intimate dining experiences, and specialty programming on food and beverage entertainment
Unlike traditional food festivals in Las Vegas, Drink Las Vegas is prioritizing drinks over food.
“DRINK Las Vegas is all about celebrating the innovators and leaders who are pushing the beverage world forward,” said Ryan Abboushi, President of Entertainment for MGM Resorts in a press release. “We’re excited to shine a spotlight on cocktail culture in a big way, and there’s no better place to do it than at our resorts in Las Vegas.”
Highlights include:
The festival will feature chefs, mixologists, sommeliers, celebrities, and prominent voices in the food and beverage industry. More details on talent at the event are expected in the coming months.
Las Vegas attracts visitors from around the world, many of whom come prepared to go all in on luxury experiences. What better place to hold a festival all about luxury drinking than Sin City?
Many events like this are limited only to those in the industry it’s related to. Because the festival isn’t limited to industry insiders, it’s a great opportunity for new and established beverage brands to connect with boozy travelers.
According to the website, tickets will go on sale in early May. Further information and room packages have not yet been announced, but organizers say more details and exclusive experiences will be revealed soon.
