LAS VEGAS — The Las Vegas calendar in December continues to fire on all cylinders. While there are fewer resident performers than usual, there are plenty of touring comedians and many visiting for the NFR in the early part of the month.
December crowds are a unique mix of rodeo fans, holiday visitors, and locals enjoying one more night out before the year ends. This month’s comedy lineup is as diverse as ever, with performers from all over the world appearing on the Strip.
This month also marks the return of several major names. Of course, you might be a redneck if you’re at Planet Hollywood on Dec. 10 to see Jeff Foxworthy return to Las Vegas for NFR. Speaking of returning, Louis C.K. will perform in Las Vegas for the first time since 2022 when he took a break to write a novel. Unlike most of the comedy shows in December, this one will be in an arena where he might appear in front of more than 15,000 people.
From legacy headliners to internet-famous comics on the rise, December’s schedule covers just about every style of stand-up.
Next year’s Las Vegas comedy calendar continues to fill up. Last month, we gave you a heads up on Wanda Sykes and Michelle Buteau performing at The Venetian, while Adam Ray will have a tour stop at Wynn.
This month, we have an update for the Aces of Comedy series at MGM Grand, a series of shows that typically feature some of the biggest names in stand-up. Rob Schneider performs Jan. 16–17, Jay Leno takes the stage Feb. 21, and Tim Allen will return on April 18. All shows take place at the David Copperfield Theater.
Unrelated to Aces of Comedy, “Weird Al” Yankovic’s Bigger and Weirder Tour will stop at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sept. 28, 2026. Last year, he played a few sold-out shows at The Venetian.
Many comedy fans prefer club shows to theater and arena performances. The venues are smaller and often feature up-and-coming comedians.
While the biggest names in stand-up play theaters and arenas in Las Vegas, many touring comedians stick to the clubs. A handful of comedy clubs are located inside or adjacent to casinos from one end of the Strip to the other.
Tickets for these shows are among the most affordable in Las Vegas entertainment. The lowest-priced comedy show tickets can be found at a club in the center of the Strip, just outside The LINQ casino.
