LAS VEGAS — Caesars Entertainment announced Monday that it will take over operations of the Rampart Casino sportsbook in Summerlin in early 2026, pending approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Rampart currently operates its sportsbook using odds supplied from Nevada Sports Books, also connected to South Point Casino in southern Las Vegas. The transition to Caesars will give players additional in-person and mobile betting options, including the ability to fund and withdraw directly from Caesars Sportsbook mobile accounts.
Once approved, the existing sportsbook will undergo a renovation that includes a new video wall, a 360-degree LED video display at the bar, and 20 new self-service sports betting kiosks inside the sportsbook and throughout the casino.
“We are excited to partner with the outstanding team at Rampart Casino to bring the Caesars Sportsbook experience to this marquee property and Summerlin residents for the first time,” said Eric Hession, president of Caesars Digital.
This will be Caesars’ first sportsbook in Summerlin. In addition to its seven Las Vegas Strip sportsbooks, the company also operates a sports betting location inside Downtown Grand, just north of the Fremont Street Experience.
The upgrades mark a welcome change for the sportsbook, which opened in 2017.
Despite the new operator, two things will remain the same at Rampart’s sportsbook.
First, parimutuel horse race betting will continue. Both Caesars and Rampart confirmed that horse racing will remain part of the sportsbook offering. Rampart’s customer base skews older, and horse racing remains popular in the Summerlin area.
Second, while the sportsbook and nearby slot machines are designated non-smoking, the sports bar behind the book will continue to allow smoking while guests play video poker and keno.
That setup kind of undercuts the purpose of having a non-smoking section of the casino, but that’s another story.
Rampart was also in local headlines last month after an armed robber stole cash from the main cashier cage on Nov. 13. Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said a masked suspect entered the property through the parking garage, displayed a weapon at a cashier’s cage, and fled the scene with an unconfirmed amount of cash. No injuries were reported, and police continue to investigate the incident.
Rampart is more than another off-Strip casino. For many guests, the casino may not even be the primary reason they stay at or visit the property.
In a press release last year announcing hotel upgrades, Vice President and General Manager, Michelle McHugh aptly described the property as:
“Nestled within the stunning desert landscape, golf courses, and shopping districts, our resort offers guests a rejuvenating oasis where uplifting hospitality and elevated experiences enable them to unwind and indulge in the very best of Las Vegas. Set across 54 lush acres, our resort is crafted to inspire well-being and a deep connection with the destination, offering the best of both worlds – from wellness-centered amenities to iconic casino experiences, all within the vibrant expanse of our grounds.”
What the release failed to mention are the ponds, waterfall, and zen walking paths on the property. There’s really no other casino with this kind of aesthetic.
2025 was a busy year for Rampart, with several new dining options added to the property:
The property is officially named Rampart Casino at The Resort at Summerlin. Many guests stay at the resort because it hosts smaller conferences and meetings throughout the year. The casino is physically connected to the only JW Marriott hotel in Las Vegas. Rampart also maintains partnerships with several nearby golf courses, including TPC Las Vegas.
