Genting Casino Manchester has finished a £1.5 million refurbishment of its flagship city-centre venue, upgrading the gaming, hospitality and entertainment offering at the site.
The investment covers both the exterior and interior of the venue, aiming to create a more premium and welcoming space for guests seeking a complete night out in Manchester.
Work carried out during the refurbishment includes fully refreshed décor throughout the casino, a new gaming layout, updated technology, and a full new audio and visual setup in the meeting and function space.
The venue marked its relaunch with a celebration held on 9th and 10th July, during which attendees won more than £15,000 in prizes. Guests were treated to live entertainment, complimentary arrival drinks, Asian fusion canapés, and a lively party atmosphere across both evenings.
Located on Portland Street in the heart of the city, the venue offers a wide range of casino games, including Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat and Poker, with 20 live gaming tables, 56 slot machines and 40 electronic roulette machines available to guests.
Beyond gaming, the casino also offers upmarket and casual dining options, live sport screenings and karaoke. The also venue operates an open-door policy, meaning no membership is required to visit.
Commenting on the refurbishment, Iain Gardiner, General Manager at Genting Casino Manchester, said: “This refurbishment represents a major investment in one of Genting’s most important venues and reflects our confidence in Manchester’s thriving night-time economy.
Casinos.com were invited along to the relaunch event and we were left incredibly impressed with the results.
Genting have managed to create a classic, modern casino space with great lighting, impressive game selection, and a busy, buzzing atmosphere.
Whether that atmosphere stands the test of time outside of a launch event will be the interesting question, especially in Manchester where gamblers are a little spoilt for choice when it comes to casinos.
However, Genting Manchester really does feel like a standout venue now and a step or two ahead of local rivals.
They are also being clever in terms of creating a venue that does not rely solely upon gaming. The bar is good, the Asian restaurant excellent, and they have karaoke booths for hire too.
The venue also hopes to make an events space available for private functions in the near future, too, so Genting Manchester definitely feels like one of the most up-and-coming and progressive casino venues in the UK right now.
