Day 5 at the Party Poker Tour in Birmingham proved another huge success, driven by a runaway performance from the Mini Main Event. The £50,000 guarantee was shattered, the tournament drew 660 entries and generated a prize pool of £82,500. That’s a 58% jump over Manchester and 41% higher than Glasgow, making it the second-best showing so far, trailing only London’s established event.

At 1 p.m., the final Day 1 flight (Day 1F) and a Hyper flight launched. The two combined for 134 entries, and 27 players advanced to Day 2. The top chip stacks going into Day 2 belonged to Curtis Mark Harrison (535,000), Jack Hoffman (429,000), and PartyPokerTour Team’s Alexander Georgiev (404,000).
Day 2 began at 6 p.m. After Attique Khokhar bubbled the money, 98 players cashed. Fourteen survivors advanced to the final poker table, where all eyes now turn to the Mini Main Event finale.
On Day 5, the inaugural poker.pro sponsored mixed game R.O.S.E.T. made its debut. Players responded enthusiastically, calling the format “incredible fun.” The tournament was won by Lewis Jordan Henderson, who earned £705 in prize money.

To cap off the evening, the ever-popular NLH Mystery Bounty returned, with a special guest appearance by former boxing champion Tony Bellew. He mingled with players, posed for selfies, and generated a palpable buzz in the room. The Main Event title went to Calogero Ambrogio Morreale, who claimed £2,350 (including an £800 bounty). The largest bounty of the night (£1,225) was captured by Kevin Brzozowski.
The PartyPoker Tour Team kept the energy high: Sam “Ahooooooooo” Acheampong brought his signature charisma, Natalie Bromley (Hearts of Queens founder) brought flair, and Barry Carter provided his trademark wit and entertainment.
Today, the action ramps up further. The livestream launched at noon (with a 30 minute delay) and features an invitational Sit N’ Go starring PartyPoker Tour team and ambassador members Jaime and Matt Staples. The final day of the Mini Main Event begins at 3 p.m., who will step up and take the title?

Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe. I am keen to establish myself and help others to do the same.
