Pennsylvania Casinos Earn $270.4 Million in November, Report Shows Casinos' Commitment to Diversity

Pennsylvania casinos generated $265.4 million in September, a 1.9% decrease year-on-year from $270.4 million. 

Slots revenue in the state declined 1.5% from $197 million to $194 million, while table game revenue remained stable, with a mild decrease of 0.1% from $73.5 million to $73.4 million. 

In other news, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has released its 18th Annual Diversity Report, which shows the impacts of implementing its diversity plans. 

Big Losses Counteract Big Wins

A recent report from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) showed that in September, seven of the 17 casinos in the state reported losses, eight saw revenue increase, and two saw revenue remain stable. 

Three casinos saw double-digit gains year-on-year, with the Mount Airy Casino Resort seeing the highest change of 15.3%, with profits rising from $15.7 million to $18.1 million. Hollywood Casino Morgantown saw similar results with profits rising 12.2%, along with the Parx Shippenburg, which saw profits rise 12.1%. 

Hollywood Casino at the Meadows was the biggest loser in September, with profits declining 13.2% from $15.8 million to $13.7 million. The Mohegan Pennsylvania and Rivers Casino saw the second and third highest declines of 8.8% and 7.2%, respectively.

The Casino at Nemacolin generated the lowest revenue in September of $2.3 million, however this remained stable year-on-year with a 0.2% rise. Valley Forge Casino resort also saw profits remain stable, with a 0.5% increase from $11.1 million in 2024 to $11.2 million in September 2025. 

Diversity Report Shows Community Impact 

The most recent Annual Diversity report from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board showed the activities casinos in Pennsylvania have taken to implement the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act, which promotes and ensures diversity. 

The report shows that of the 15,840 individuals employed by casinos across the state, 42% were female, and 42% were racial minorities. Additionally, of the executives, management, and professional staff, 38% were female, and 28% were racial minorities. 

State-wide casino Community Outreach contributions rose 3.1% year-on-year from $12.5 million to $12.9 million, along with 46% of the $820 million spent by casinos in 2024-2025 was spent in local businesses. Additionally, 90% of those employed by casinos were Pennsylvania residents, reflecting the commitment casinos in Pennsylvania have to supporting their community.
