Nebraska Casino Revenues up Show 64% in October, WarHorse Sets New Records

Nebraska’s five commercial casinos celebrated a successful October, generating $24.6 million in revenue, up from the previous year’s figure of $15 million and representing a year-on-year increase of 64.2%.

The figures, published by the Nebraska Racing and Gaming Commission, revealed that slot games accounted for $20.6 million of the total, up 60.1% year-on-year, from $12.9 million. Table games also recorded a year-on-year revenue increase, rising from $1.6 million to $3 million, an 82.8% increase.

That total was significantly boosted by the launch of the Lake Mac Casino, which was opened in August this year in Ogallala, West Nebraska.

WarHorse Casino Tops the Revenue Standings

Even without the $900,461 contributed by the Lake Mac Casino, there were impressive revenue gains across the board, including for the market leader, WarHorse Casino in Omaha.

Omaha showed an increase of 49% from the $6.2 million revenue generated last October, recording a state-leading $9.3 million in 2025.

There were even bigger rises for the second and third-place casinos.

Warhorse Casino, Lincoln, showed a 63.3% rise year-on-year, to $7.5 million, while Grand Island Casino almost doubled its revenue from 2024, which was up from $2.5 million to $4.9 million.

Lake Mac Casino Boosts Western Nebraska

Nebraska’s newest gambling venue, the Lake Mac Casino and Racetrack, has been a major economic boost for the western part of the state, generating economic momentum that goes beyond gaming and entertainment. Local leaders say the new resort is boosting traffic along I-80 and is expected to boost tourism and long-term economic development in Lake McConaughy and Keith County.

The project was over two decades in the making, according to the Lake Mac Director of Racing, Cynthia Smith, who said that there were hopes for the expansion of horse racing in the west of the state, with a possible racetrack development in Gering.

My love for gambling and casinos started early when my grandad handed me a video poker machine as a kid, sparking a lifelong fascination with the game. I grew up watching Celebrity Poker religiously and that turned into my organizing March Madness bracket tournaments all throughout elementary and high school—making every March a high-stakes competition among friends before I was even old enough to place a real bet.
