Las Vegas Nightlife Gets Rare DJ Appearances, Latin Stars for September Holiday Weekends

The upcoming Labor Day and Mexican Independence weekends will bring a whole lot of unique artists, DJs, and rappers to the Las Vegas nightlife and dayclub scene who aren’t frequent performers here.

Labor Day weekend will feature several artists, including Illenium, ODESZA, Disclosure, and J. Cole, some of whom haven’t performed in these venues in years. For Mexican Independence Day weekend, Latin artists will take the spotlight, including Chencho Corleone, Farruko, and Codiciado.

With so many events happening across the entire city, it can be difficult to keep track of who’s performing where. Following are some of the biggest and most unique bookings across the Strip’s nightclubs and dayclubs, so you can see which artists are worth catching before they leave town.

You’ll still see names like Diplo, Steve Aoki, and Tiesto performing throughout the weekend. Those artists have residencies at several resorts on the Strip, so this focuses on the artists locals and visitors may not catch every weekend.

The main venues to know about for this weekend are Marquee Nightclub and Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan, Omnia Nightclub and Dayclub at Caesars Palace, Zouk Nightclub and Ayu Dayclub at Resorts World, Hakkasan Nightclub and Palm Tree Beach Club at MGM Grand, Jewel Nightclub at Aria, Encore Beach Club at Wynn/Encore, and then LIV Nightclub and Beach at Fontainebleau.

One important note here: XS Nightclub at the Encore is currently closed for major renovations. In the meantime, Encore Beach Club is handling the property’s nightlife programming while the club undergoes its overhaul.

Who to See During Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend runs from Friday, Sept. 4, through Monday, Sept. 7. But most of the major nightlife programming is concentrated Friday through Sunday.

Friday, Sept. 4

Illenium at Marquee Nightclub: Melodic dubstep DJ Illenium is one of the biggest names this weekend. He announced his summer and fall residency with TAO Group in July, with just four dates total from August to October. His upcoming appearance gives fans another opportunity to see him after his highly successful Sphere residency.

Alison Wonderland at Zouk Nightclub: The Australian DJ and producer, who recently appeared at EDC Las Vegas, will return to Zouk. Many familiar with her remember that she headlined at EDC in 2023 while nine months pregnant and still gave a hell of a show. This is the second-to-last date in her residency… she may even play her remix of ‘CRANK IT’ by Slayyyter

Mau P at Encore Beach Club at Night: With XS closed for renovations, Encore Beach Club is hosting Wynn’s nighttime programming. This is currently tech house DJ Mau P’s final residency date with Wynn for this year, so it’s the last chance to see him at the resort’s open-air night swim party.

Saturday, Sept. 5

J. Cole at Zouk Nightclub: This is one of the weekend’s biggest bookings — J. Cole has not been at Zouk Nightclub since July 2023. Hip-hop fans should definitely consider attending this, especially if they aren’t seeing J. Cole at his concert the following day at T-Mobile Arena. It could be a much more affordable opportunity to see the artist in a much more intimate setting than the arena.

Odesza at Encore Beach Club at Night: The electronic indie duo Odesza knows how to please the crowd at Wynn’s venues. This is the final date of their residency with Wynn for the year, so it’s worth seeing them at Encore Beach Club before it’s over. They typically only perform at XS Nightclub.

Reggaeton Rave at Jewel Nightclub: Reggaeton Rave, an event that’s usually held at 18+ venues in Vegas, will take over Jewel for one night. Jewel Nightclub at the Aria typically doesn’t have as many big performers as it used to, since most of the popular names in hip-hop on the Strip are usually at Hakkasan. Keep in mind, this is simply a themed night at a club, so typical nightlife attire is encouraged over full festival/rave attire.

Sunday, Sept. 6

Blond:ish at Palm Tree Beach Club: The DJ and performer, whose real name is Vivie-ann Bakos, only has three dates in her residency here in Vegas. She’ll headline this event and once more after the holiday hype dies down, but that will be it for her residency here in Vegas.

Disclosure at LIV Beach: The EDM duo Disclosure will perform at LIV Beach for the first time. They have appeared in Vegas a few times over the years, but don’t currently have a residency. The pair will come back to Vegas in November to perform as part of the Formula One Race weekend entertainment lineup. The last time they were here in Vegas was in March 2025 for the Art of the Wild Festival at XS Nightclub.

Leon Thomas at LIV Nightclub: Many Gen Zers might recognize this name from the Nickelodeon show "Victorious" from the 2010s. He’s had a blossoming R&B career and will bring that sound to LIV Nightclub for one night only.

Ohgeesy at Omnia Nightclub: Rapper Ohgeesy from the hip-hop group Shoreline Mafia will headline Omnia’s Latin night. This will be held in the main room, but the other rooms will also be open. This is a great (and rare) chance for people to enjoy Latin music under the iconic chandelier overhead.

Nic Vans at LIV Beach at Night: Nick Vans will headline LIV Beach’s nighttime pool party event, which doesn’t happen very often. They tested out the format last year, and it seems to have been a success, so they’re bringing it back again this year. Nick Vans is a newer DJ, but known by many from his appearance on Season 7 of Love Island.

Special mention: LAVO, the Italian restaurant at the Palazzo, will host an all-white party with a DJ on Sunday night. Though it’s not necessarily a nightclub, the restaurant is known for its Party Brunch, a popular option for many who come to Las Vegas in the colder months and want a daytime party atmosphere when the dayclubs are closed.

Mexican Independence Weekend

The following weekend focuses heavily on Latin music for Mexican Independence Day celebrations.

The actual Mexican Independence Day falls on Sept. 16, but Las Vegas starts celebrating on Thursday, Sept. 10. This weekend has a mix of familiar Latin-focused artists packed into one weekend, along with some who rarely make appearances here.

Sala de Despecho (translating to “heartbreak lounge”) is a special multi-day offering at Omnia Dayclub as part of this weekend’s Latin programming. It’s a pop-up karaoke party experience that focuses on singing along to classic heartbreak songs in Spanish. The event was previously held in the smaller lounge part of Encore Beach Club at Night last year and may function as a separate event during the day at Omnia from Sept. 11 to 13.

The way it’s listed on the TAO Group Hospitality calendar makes it seem like a doubleheader event with other headlining DJs. There may be a chance that it’s held in a separate area of Omnia Dayclub, like the Sunset Club Sunday events are on the terrace only.

Thursday, Sept. 10

BOLO at Zouk Nightclub: Bolo is one of Zouk’s popular Latin DJs who will kick off the venue’s Latin night lineup. Many people enjoyed his sunrise set at EDC earlier this year (started around 4:15 a.m.).

Altura Presents at Encore Beach Club at Night: Altura Presents is a Las Vegas-based nightlife company that throws some of the best Latin music parties and reggaeton dance events. Artists Cachirula and Loojan will perform together at the night swim party, adding another Latin night to Encore Beach Club, which has almost always focused more on EDM and pop. It’s great to see more genres like this getting a spotlight at the Wynn.

Carín León Takeover at LIV Nightclub: Carín León begins all of his Fontainebleau takeover events on Thursday night in conjunction with his Sphere residency. No artist has been announced for Thursday yet, but it will likely be Spanish-language music given the star’s history in Mexico.

Friday, Sept. 11

Roz at Omnia Dayclub: As part of the Baja Beach Fest programming, the Mexican DJ duo of Manolo Cabrera and Hugo Lara return to Vegas after drawing a hyped crowd at EDC Las Vegas earlier this year. They made their Vegas debut on July 10 and have played the city a few times since, so this is another chance to catch them for anyone who missed EDC or that first show.

BigXthaPlug at Hakkasan Nightclub: BigXthaPlug will make an appearance at Hakkasan, which is notable since he has only been in Vegas three times this entire year (May, July, and August). He hasn’t actually performed at Hakkasan since May, so this will be a great opportunity for any fans of his to see him without dealing with the sun.

Deorro at Marquee Nightclub: As part of the Baja Beach Fest programming, Deorro will headline at Marquee Nightclub. When many people think of Latin EDM, this DJ is one of the first to come to mind. He headlines frequently in Vegas, but his style fitting well into the theme of this weekend means it’ll certainly be a busy show.

Dynamiqo at Zouk Nightclub: DJ Dynamiqo is one of Zouk’s resident DJs, and his Latin-focused reggaeton style works well for this.

Codiciado at LIV Nightclub: Codiciado is a Mexican music artist formerly of Grupo Codiciado, and he has since embarked on a successful solo career. The Tijuana native will bring lots of Mexican music to LIV that night as part of the Carín León takeover.

Saturday, Sept. 12

Chencho Corleone at Hakkasan Nightclub: The Puerto Rican reggaeton star and former member of Plan B very rarely performs in Vegas, so this is one of Saturday’s biggest bookings. Hakkasan will certainly be packed full of fans who like his newer music, along with his classic reggaeton bangers like "Candy” from the early 2000s.

Afrojack at Marquee Dayclub: Afrojack continues his Marquee residency with this appearance during Mexican Independence Weekend. He will not appear at the venue until November, and this will be his final daytime performance there this year. It’s a good chance to catch him if you love the song “Take Over Control.”

Vibraza at AYU Dayclub: Vibraza is a Latin rave-themed event at AYU Dayclub. Expect to hear reggaeton mixed with house music and bass.

Hermanos Espinoza at Zouk Nightclub: Hermanos Espinoza is a Mexican music duo made up of brothers Joel and Lionel Espinoza. Their music will fit in well with the vibes for Mexican Independence Day.

Sunday, Sept. 13

Street Mob Takeover at Palm Tree Beach Club: Several DJs with Street Mob Records will close out the weekend as part of Baja Beach Fest. Expect artists like Chuyin, Clave Especial, Dynamic, and others. It’ll be a good event to go to if you’re just looking to get a nice mix of Latin music during the day.

Reggaetonlandia at LIV Beach: Reggaetonlandia hosts pool party takeovers at LIV every couple of months, but it fits in well with the property’s Carín León takeover. One of the few times LIV is stepping out of the usual EDM and hip-hop.

Farruko at Omnia Nightclub: The Puerto Rican musician will close out the weekend at Omnia, with the main room open for another week straight. Another chance to see the chandelier on a Sunday night!

Tips to Keep In Mind for Holiday Weekend Partying

With so many events happening throughout the Strip, you don’t necessarily need to spend hundreds of dollars to see a major artist perform at a day club or nightclub. Most of these venues offer guest lists or discounted tickets through promoters, so it’s worth contacting someone who works for the venue before paying full price.

Depending on the venue and the event, you may be able to get in for free or at a reduced cover charge, although you’ll still need to budget for drinks. General admission only means standing room, so if you want a seat, you’ll need to purchase a bottle service table. Groups of six or more women may have the opportunity to get complimentary tables for part of the night through a VIP host, which can be found easily on social media.

Popular headliners already don’t take the stage until 1 or 2 a.m., but lines can be long. If you’re going to a major club, make sure to get there earlier than you think you need to, especially if you’re trying to make it close enough to the stage to see the artist.

It’s worth working with a promoter or VIP host who can advise you of arrival times and any changes to policies on the day of. For example, if the guest list is cut off, you’ll have someone to let you know before you get there. Pre-game responsibly if you’re drinking, and make sure to wear comfortable shoes to account for all the standing around.

Omnia usually has its Sunday events in a smaller room of the club, but major holiday weekends like this bring the party into the main room. So this is a great chance to see the massive, iconic chandelier with different music than usual.

Always check the venue’s current prohibited items policy before heading over. Many items, such as outside food/drink, glass perfume bottles, and personal items, may not be allowed inside.
