Indiana Casinos' Revenues Stay Steady, Hard Rock Northern Indiana Prepares for Charity Gala

Casinos in Indiana saw a 2% year-on-year revenue increase in August, with profits increasing from $200.2 million in 2024 to $204.2 million in August 2025.

Of the total, slots generated $182.1 million, up 2.6% from the $177.4 million generated in August 2024, and table games were also up year-on-year by 1.6% from $37.5 million to $38.1 million.

In other news, the Hard Rock Casino Indiana will be hosting the YWCA’s annual Circle of Friends fundraiser, after being a repeat sponsor for the event.

This isn't the only time the Hard Rock Casino has been giving back to the community this year, as in August, it donated $3 million to Gary’s Police Department, which funded the purchase and upgrading of over 80 new police cars. In January, the casino donated $500,000 to the Gary Community School Corporation, which was used in the district to purchase new gym equipment and a new library/media center

Horseshoe Casinos Take the Lead in Revenue Rise

The latest report from the Indiana Gaming Commission showed mixed results across the state's casinos. Seven of the 13 casinos showed losses year-on-year; however, the gains of the six other casinos meant the state still saw year-on-year revenue rises.

Both Horseshoe casinos, in Hammond and Indianapolis, experienced double-digit revenue increases compared to the year prior of 30.1% and 11.1% respectively.

Other strong increases were seen by Harrah's Hoosier Park with an increase of 5.3% and Belterra Casino with a rise of 2.2%.

Hard Rock Casino Hosts Community Fundraiser

It has been confirmed that the YWCA’s annual fundraiser, Circle of Friends, will be hosted at Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana on October 2.

The gala will have Samantha Chatman as the celebrity host and will feature an array of entertainment for guests, including dancing, raffles, and live music from DJ N 4 Red, alongside dinner and an awards presentation.

"I can't believe that the time for the Circle of Friends Gala is just around the corner. Despite the challenges present by the present economy, we continue to push the mission of the YWCA and raise funds to ensure programming and initiatives are in place for our members and the communities we serve,” said YWCA of NWI Executive Director Caren Jones. "

The YWCA is a women's charity that provides economic, crisis, and empowerment services in the state and advocates for women and children.

The proceeds raised by the event will go towards funding programs for children and Seniors that the YWCA offers, along with improvements to the facility in the state.

My love for gambling and casinos started early when my grandad handed me a video poker machine as a kid, sparking a lifelong fascination with the game. I grew up watching Celebrity Poker religiously and that turned into my organizing March Madness bracket tournaments all throughout elementary and high school—making every March a high-stakes competition among friends before I was even old enough to place a real bet.
