Hard Rock Bet Launches Hybrid Live Dealer Roulette at New Jersey Online Casino

Hard Rock Bet Casino has launched a new roulette game in New Jersey that blends online gambling with real-time casino floor action from Hard Rock Atlantic City. The new game, called Atlantic City Live Roulette, streams directly from the casino and allows online players to place bets at the same time as guests seated at the table in the brick-and-mortar resort.

Developed with technology partner Playtech, the offering will bring a hybrid live and online experience to the iGaming site rather than its other games that use a studio-only setup.

Game Bridges the Gap Between Online and Live Play

According to Hard Rock officials, the goal of the game is to marry the convenience of online play with as much of the atmosphere of live play as possible.

“We’re thrilled to bring the excitement of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City floor directly to players’ screens,” said Rich Criado, Hard Rock Bet Vice President of Casino. “Atlantic City Live Roulette blends the authenticity of a live table with the convenience of online play, giving our New Jersey players a true ‘same wheel, same spin’ experience.”

Live dealer games have long been pitched as a way to bring more real-world ambiance to the online gambling experience, but often rely heavily on a dedicated studio. Hard Rock and Playtech are attempting to truly give players who don’t want to come out to the casino a real taste of the gaming floor.

Playtech Chief Interactive Gaming Officer Marat Koss said the product will be a delightful expansion of their partnership with Hard Rock Bet and offer a more "immersive, engaging dual-play experience."

“Our collaboration is helping to bridge the gap between online play and the casino floor for an immersive user experience and we’re proud to see our shared vision for the future of live-dealer entertainment resonating with players across the US," said Koss in a statement.

Atlantic City Casinos Innovating to Compete with New York

The launch of Atlantic City Live Roulette comes as the city's casinos are coming under increased threat from regional competition, especially with the approval of three new casinos in New York City at the end of 2025. That has led to calls from some New Jersey politicians for the state to fight back by authorizing casino games at its Meadowlands and Monmouth Park racetracks.

But online casinos are an area in which New Jersey continues to hold an advantage over the Empire State. While New York offers online sports betting, it has yet to jump into the iGaming arena. However, those efforts remain underway, with lawmakers like New York State Senator Joseph Addabbo (D-Queens) having introduced bills to regulate online casinos on multiple occasions

But for now, the combination of live and online play is something that can set Atlantic City apart, and casino officials say they want to capitalize on that.

“Our team is excited to showcase the energy of our live table games to a broader audience,” said Hard Rock Atlantic City President George Goldhoff. “This experience captures the excitement of our world class casino, whether guests are visiting us in person or playing from their phones.”
