Detroit Casinos Generate $108.2 Million in November, Remaining Flat Year-on-Year

Detroit commercial casinos generated $108.2 million in November, remaining stable with a 0.1% decreased from the $108.3 million in November 2024.  

   Slots and table games generated $106.5 million in Nobember, a 0.1% increase from the $106.4 million generated in November 2024. However, retail sports betting faced a 10.8% loss, falling from $1.9 million in 2024 to $17 million in 2025.  

 In other news, the Michigan Gaming Control Board has met to review the states gambling laws, including discussing casino licensing, administrative rules for the Lawful Internet Gaming Act & Lawful Sports Betting Act, and discuss the licensing and investigations of supplies including BetMGM and FanDuel.  

Only MotorCity Casino Faces Loss in November  

The latest report from the Michigan Gaming Control Board shows that of the three Michigan casinos, two saw revenue increase year-on-year in November.  

 The MGM Grand Detroit Casino saw the highest revenue increase year-on-year for slots and table games in November. Accounting for 47% of the market share, the MGM Grand Detroit generated $50.7 million, a 3% year-over-year increase from $49.2 million generated in 2024. Additionally, sports betting generated $587,294 in November, a 28.4% year-on-year increase from $457.409 in November 2024.  

 Slots and table games for the Greektown Casino also saw year-on-year gains in November, rising 1% from $24.2 million to $24.4 million. Retail sports betting in the casino however faced a 37.4% loss, declining from $886,249 to $554,751.

The MotorCity Casino was the only venue to see a loss in November, with table games and slots revenue declining 5% year-on-year from $33.1 million to $31.4 million. Retail sports betting in the casino remained stable, facing a minor decline of 0.9% from $571,059 to $565,718.
