Daniele Chilton Appointed as New CEO for Desert Diamond Casino

Daniele Chilton has become the new CEO of Desert Diamond Casino. Daniele was appointed on Friday, Feb 21, marking a significant milestone as the first Tohono O'odham Nation Tribal member to hold the position permanently.

There will be plenty of work ahead for the new CEO as she oversees all five Desert Diamond Casino properties across southern Arizona and Phoenix, which are operated by the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise. 

The recent opening of the Desert Diamond Casino White Tanks in December 2024 added to the thriving casino network in the region.

Predecessor did Sterling Work for Company

Her predecessor, Mike Bean, led the casino destination through growth during his nearly four-year tenure. In taking on the role, Danielle expressed her great honour in leading the organisation, focusing on creating economic opportunities for the nation and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Chilton has vast experience as the former COO of Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise, where she managed almost 4,000 team members. The management board said it is confident in Chilton's leadership.

Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise Management Board Chairman Jacob Moore said, “We are thrilled to welcome Daniele as our new CEO. She has played an integral role in the operation’s success and has the expertise and experience to lead the enterprise forward.
