BetMGM just posted its best quarterly profit growth in years, but buried in the investor update is the stuff that actually changes what you'll see when you log in: a new BetMGM Game of Thrones slots lineup, a progressive jackpot in two states, and a live-streamed slots experience that's new to New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The business update, filed October 13 through parent company Entain's stock market disclosures, reported $710 million in third-quarter net revenue, up 7% year-over-year, and adjusted EBITDA of $86 million, more than double what it was a year ago. Those are the numbers that move Entain and MGM Resorts stock. Here's what moves your gameplay.
BetMGM rolled out new Game of Thrones slot titles across the US, Ontario, and Alberta this quarter, and the company isn't being shy about it: it's calling the launch its “most successful game franchise launch ever.” That's a notable claim from an operator that already carries licensed content tied to other major franchises, and it signals BetMGM is leaning harder into exclusive, branded slots rather than just stocking the same RTG and IGT libraries every other operator carries.
If you've been waiting for a reason to check the slots lobby again, this is probably it.
Two product rollouts stood out for table and slots players specifically. A progressive SideBet jackpot launched in Michigan and West Virginia, giving players in those states a new side-bet jackpot mechanic to chase on top of base-game payouts. Separately, a live-streamed slots experience debuted in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, extending BetMGM's live-dealer-style content beyond traditional blackjack and roulette tables into slot content with a broadcast element.
Neither rollout is nationwide yet. If you're not in one of those states, don't expect to see either in your lobby this week, but it's a reasonable bet BetMGM expands both if early engagement holds up.
BetMGM also refreshed its Borgata-branded product this quarter, and the company said average daily actives on Borgata are up 28% compared to February 2026 levels. That's a real engagement number, not just a marketing claim, and it suggests whatever changed in the Borgata experience, whether that's app design, game selection, or promotions, is landing with existing players rather than just attracting new sign-ups.
On the sports betting side, BetMGM pushed out expanded cash-out options, improved bet tracking, what it's calling “smarter betting insights,” more customizable bet building, and an upgraded rewards hub, all timed ahead of NFL kickoff. CEO Adam Greenblatt also pointed to “significant improvements to speed, stability, and responsiveness” across the platform for football season, the kind of back-end work that doesn't show up in a press release headline but matters every time you're trying to get a bet down before kickoff.
For context, BetMGM's iGaming revenue hit $483 million for the quarter, up 6% year-over-year, while online sports revenue reached $216 million, up 7%. The company said it holds roughly 14% gross gaming revenue share across the markets where it operates, including 20% in iGaming specifically and 8% in online sports betting.
One number worth flagging honestly: average monthly active users fell 3% year-over-year, to 878,000. BetMGM attributed that to “refined player acquisition and management strategies,” which is corporate-speak for spending less to chase low-value sign-ups. It's a deliberate trade-off, not a sign the new games and live-dealer expansion aren't landing, but it's worth knowing the user base shrank even as revenue per player grew.
BetMGM also launched in Alberta this quarter with a full multi-product rollout, and said early per-player metrics there are tracking ahead of its Ontario launch. BetMGM reiterated its full-year 2026 guidance of $2.9 billion to $3.1 billion in net revenue and $300 million to $350 million in adjusted EBITDA.
