BetMGM Bringing ‘The Traitors’ to Online Casinos With Slots Launch

BetMGM has announced the launch of The Traitors: Faithful Riches, an online slot machine based on the hit reality game show that has produced versions in several countries, including the UK and the United States.

BetMGM timed the launch of the slot machine with the Sept. 17 premiere of “The Traitors: New Blood,” the latest edition of the American version of the television show.

Traitors Slot First Game in Wider Agreement

The slot machine is available at BetMGM Casino in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, while also appearing at Borgata Online in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

The Faithful Riches machine was developed by Games Global. It features a 1,024 ways to win layout and brings over several themes from the show, including an unpredictable feature known as “The Traitor,” designed to add a surprise element to gameplay.

“The Traitors has captivated millions with its blend of suspense and strategy,” BetMGM Senior Vice President of Gaming Oliver Bartlett said in a statement. “Those qualities create a compelling foundation for an online slot, allowing fans to engage with the franchise in a new way while capturing the intrigue and drama that made the show a cultural phenomenon.”

According to Bartlett, the Traitors brand fits in with his company’s overall approach to online casino content.

“Television and movie IP is a key pillar of our content strategy,” Bartlett said. “Our partnership with All3Media International gives us an opportunity to build a lasting iGaming franchise.”

According to BetMGM, the partnership isn’t ending at this one slot machine. In its announcement, the company announced its exclusive online casino rights deal with All3Media by saying that it now has the rights to The Traitors for slots, table games, and non-traditional casino games.

Traitors Dominating Reality Airwaves Worldwide

The first version of The Traitors was developed for televisions in the Netherlands in 2021. Since then, multiple seasons of the show have aired in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, and numerous other nations around the world. The American version of the show has been hosted by Scottish actor Alan Cumming.

The Traitors sees a group of around 20 contestants compete for a cash prize, while a small number of them are secretly traitors attempting to avoid detection. Contestants vote to remove a competitor each day, while the traitors “murder” a faithful contestant each night. Meanwhile all contestants work together on tasks to raise the prize pool. The final two to four contestants will split the prize pool evenly, unless one or more traitors remain, in which case only the traitors will win or split the money.

BetMGM operates iGaming websites in 24 states as well as Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico. While most of these jurisdictions only allow for online sports betting, BetMGM operates online casinos in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. In addition, the company offers online poker in Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, with shared liquidity between those three states.
