Odds on Oasis Completing Their Reunion Tour or Will They Look Back in Anger?

Oasis will kick off one of music's most anticipated reunions of all time in a matter of days.

Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher and their fellow bandmates, Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs, Gem Archer, and Andy Bellare, due to begin their 41-date Oasis Live 25 tour in Cardiff on July 4th, after the siblings squashed their previous differences to reunite the band.

Some might say they thought Liam and Noel would never reconcile on stage, odds you’d usually find in online casinos. Things ended on a sour note in Paris in 2009.

Noel and Liam went their separate ways after a huge backstage bust-up at the Rock en Seine festival, and Noel said afterwards about his brother, "I could not go on working with Liam a day longer. He’s like a man with a fork in a world of soup."

What followed were years of taking digs at one another in interviews and via social media, but they stunned the music world last August by announcing a reunion.

The lads are back and mad for it all over again, but will their relationship remain intact until their final reunion gig in São Paulo on November 23rd?

Brothers Will Be Brothers

The former warring siblings have five months of being civil to one another to come, and they haven't exactly been spotted laughing and joking around ahead of their reunion.

What's more, The Mail on Sunday newspaper recently claimed Noel and Liam had separate photoshoots for their recent Adidas clothing campaign, in which they appeared to be pictured together.

Of course, it's not always due to sour relations that a band is forced to cancel gigs - sometimes sour sweets play their part, or not.

Oasis frontman Liam has previously told of being diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease, an autoimmune condition that can give him a hoarse voice. He sent fans into a panic recently when he wrote about taking throat lozenges, sour candies and cough syrup.

Some supporters now fear that could lead to gig cancellations during Oasis Live 25.

One fan asked Liam on X: "If you need that many throat stuff does that mean anytime your voice can still go? We don't want cancellations."

But Liam bluntly replied: "Shut up you melt."

Another questioned whether he had chowed down on his throat sweets, and he replied: "I did 2 pacs (sic)"

It's just 3/1 that Oasis don't complete their full Oasis Live 25 tour, but fans will be desperate for them to make it to that encore in Brazil.

Spiritual Comeback

Despite some fan concerns ahead of the Don't Look Back in Anger hitmakers' reunion tour, Liam has insisted it is like a "spiritual" experience performing with Noel again.

And he has even expressed his disappointment that they "wasted" so much "precious" time over the last 16 years.

When asked by a fan if it is like "old times" singing with his sibling again, he wrote on X: "You know what it's spiritual but I can't help think about all those wasted years what a waste of PRECIOUS time (sic)."

Liam has certainly appeared to be enjoying the fanfare surrounding Oasis' tour, recently writing on X: "Oasis rehearsals get more coverage than most bands tours"

And he has also claimed he is done with gig after-parties nowadays.

Liam posted: "After party’s are for wankers I’m getting straight of after the gigs get my beauty sleep this level of sexiness doesn’t happen by staying up talking b******s to b******s (sic)"

The singer certainly appears to be taking the tour seriously, and it sounds like he is in it for the long haul. When recently asked by a supporter if there is "anything better" than Oasis reuniting, he said: "Yeah - staying together."

It's 1/3 that Oasis do manage to get through all 41 dates without crying their hearts out.

A Tiff Before Cardiff?

But is there even a slight chance of a tiff before the band's first reunion show in Cardiff? At this late stage, it seems highly unlikely.

Any sort of cancellation at the 11th hour would leave grown men weeping into their Adidas tracksuits, and tears would be mopped up by bucket hats aplenty.

However, Oasis super-fans with tickets to July 4th's Cardiff gig can rest easy upon hearing it is 1/16 for the Wonderwall hitmakers to go their separate ways before the first show.

They are said to be sounding "electric", and "perfectly in sync".

A source recently told The Sun newspaper: "Liam drinks tea to help warm up his vocal cords. He feels really fresh and they’re excited to get going. Rehearsals have been electric and they’re perfectly in sync."

However, there is something important to consider - this is the Gallagher brothers.

It's 12/1 for Oasis to do the unthinkable and split before their Cardiff show ... but this time it's highly doubtful they will look back in anger.
