Les Croupiers Cardiff hosts Welsh Poker Series with £50,000 guarantee and five Day 1 flights

Les Croupiers Casino in Cardiff will host the Welsh Poker Series from 22 to 26 April, offering players a £300 buy-in tournament with a £50,000 guaranteed prize pool and five separate Day 1 flight options across four days.

The multi-flight structure gives players significant scheduling flexibility, with starting flights running on Thursday 23rd, Friday 24th, Saturday 25th (two flights), and Sunday 26th before a final Day 2 on Sunday afternoon. 

Each Day 1 begins with a 100,000 chip stack, with blind levels ranging from 30 minutes on the earlier flights down to 12 minutes for the Sunday morning turbo option.The series represents the headline event in a packed April schedule at Les Croupiers Casino, which also features a Superstack Weekend and a Cash League Final in the fortnight preceding the main event.

Welsh Poker Series Structure

The main poker event opens on Wednesday 22nd with a £35 re-entry satellite guaranteeing five £300 seats into the series, giving local cash game players a low-cost route into the field.

Day 1 flights then run across four days: Day 1A on Thursday 23rd and Day 1B on Friday 24th both start at 6pm with late registration until 10.30pm, while Day 1C and Day 1D on Saturday 25th run at 4pm and 7pm respectively. 

A shorter Day 1E turbo flight on Sunday 26th starts at 2.15pm with late registration closing at 4pm. Day 2 begins at 5.30pm on Sunday 26th.

The structure offers something for players with different time commitments, from the relaxed 30-minute levels on the first two flights to the fast-paced 12-minute turbo option on the final morning.

Superstack Weekend and Cash League Final

Before the series begins, Les Croupiers runs a Superstack Weekend from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th April. The flagship event is the £150 Superstack on Friday 17th, which carries a £7,500 guarantee and a 150,000 chip stack starting. A £70 Superstack on Saturday and two Sunday Superstack rebuy events, one in hold'em, one in PLO, complete the weekend, with guarantees ranging from £3,000 to £5,000.

Sunday 19th also hosts the Cash League Final, a separate £10,000 guaranteed event starting at 4pm with late registration closing at 4.30pm.

Earlier in the month, Wednesday 15th features a standalone £300 High Roller with a £10,000 guarantee, one of two events in April carrying five-figure prize pools outside the main series.

Cash games run every night from 6pm across the month, with £1-£1 hold'em, £1-£2 hold'em, and £1-£2 Omaha all available. A High Hand promotion running before end of play on Friday 18th offers the top three qualifying hands a free £300 seat into the Welsh Poker Series.
