Maryland’s six casinos have recorded $151.5 million in revenue for September, down from the $159.5 million generated in the previous year and representing a year-on-year drop of 5%.

Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland took the contributions a step further last month, after announcing it would distribute $19 million in community grants during the 2026 fiscal year.

In September, Live! Casino & Hotel, along with its partners, announced at its annual grantee award ceremony that it would give $19 million to the community in the 2026 fiscal year. Since opening in 2012, the casino has regularly supported Anne Arundel County, funding the grants through its tax revenue.
“The Cordish Companies and Live! Casino & Hotel Maryland always show up to make a meaningful impact on Anne Arundel County. Each year, these grants give much-needed financial support to the community agencies and non-profit organizations that provide essential services to county residents,” said County Executive Steuart Pittman.
Local impact grants will be distributed to 26 organizations, with the BWI Community Development Foundation Inc. receiving $4.1 million, the Anne Arundel County Fire Department receiving $4 million, and the Anne Arundel County Police receiving $3.5 million.
Community non-profits will also receive grants. Eighteen organizations will receive $480,000, and the Chesapeake Arts Center, the My Life Foundation, the Anne Arundel County Community Action Agency, and the Coalition for Public Safety Training in Schools will each receive $40,000.
