Florida Slots Revenue Hits $58.2 Million in November, up 3.1% Year-on-Year

The non-tribal casino sector in Florida reported revenue of $58.2 million in November, representing a 3.1% year-on-year increase from the $56.5 million generated during the same month in 2024.

Non-tribal casinos in Florida do not operate table games, so all revenue generated came from slots.

The positive revenue figures come as the state makes a concerted effort to tackle gambling-related crime, from a new bill that aims to overhaul the gambling laws to the seizure of illegal gambling machines in Jacksonville.

Magic City and Gulfstream Park Show Most Impressive Revenue Rises

The Florida Gaming Control Commission has published its latest monthly figures, which show that five of the state’s eight casino venues experienced year-on-year revenue growth. At the same time, the remaining three saw a decline in revenue.

Although the overall revenue picture was strong across the eight venues, there was a wide divergence in performance, with the most impressive revenue returns coming at Gulfstream Park and the sector’s biggest revenue generator, Magic City.

Pompano Park, Calder Racecourse, and Dania Jai Alai all showed smaller increases. The combined figures were also up by 1% on the $57.4 million generated in October this year.

At the other end of the scale, there were significant declines for Big Easy Casino, which dropped from $3.3 million to $2.9 million, and Casino Miami, whose revenue fell 10.1% to $6.8 million.

Florida Introduces Sweeping Gambling Law Overhaul for 2026

As non-tribal casino revenue climbed in November, Florida legislators introduced a new bill that would significantly expand the state’s gambling rules. Filed on December 2, HB 591 comes after a string of high-profile illegal gambling cases and proposes updates to multiple chapters of Florida law.

The bill includes new criminal offences and increased penalties, as well as statutory definitions for internet gambling. Keeping an illegal gambling house is now a third-degree felony, and there are harsher penalties for repeat offenders and for property owners.

Another key focus is slot-machine enforcement. Under the bill, trafficking more than 15 slot machines would become a first-degree felony, attracting mandatory fines of up to $500,000. If it passed, the new laws would take effect on 1 October 2026.

Raids in Northeast Florida Show Scale of Illegal Gambling

The push for a gambling law overhaul has been partly driven by a string of recent enforcement actions, which have continued through December. The most notable action was a multi-agency raid by the Florida Gaming Control Commission, Internal Revenue Service, and Homeland Security in Jacksonville and Orange Park on December 11.

The raid led to the seizure of 250 gambling devices, including 230 illegal slot machines and 23 fish tables, along with related equipment. No arrests were announced, but officials said that the action underscored the ongoing challenge of unlawful gambling. Under Florida law, slot machines are only allowed at the eight non-tribal venues in Broward and Miami-Dade, and at Seminole Tribe-operated locations.
