Online Craps Casino Bonuses

All US craps online casino sites have bonuses, which provide an awesome way to boost your bankroll and play online craps games without spending a fortune. Theyโ€™re also great for craps online casinos, as sites use them to attract players.

Online casino bonuses come in many different shapes and sizes; it is important to always read the terms and conditions to see what restrictions and requirements are in place. While many bonuses may seem similar, some are more generous and/or accessible than others.

I specifically choose online craps casinos with fair and generous promotions, including the following popular types:

Bonus TypeDescription
Deposit BonusIf a promo requires you to deposit first, this is a deposit bonus. Common types include matches and free spins.
Match BonusA common online casino bonus is where the iGaming site matches your deposit with a bonus amount, such as 100% up to $500.
CashbackSome casinos have promos where you can claim a certain amount of your losses back, for example, up to $500 in losses back over your first day.
No Deposit BonusYou can sometimes claim a bonus without needing to make a deposit. These no deposit bonuses can be free spins, bonus cash, or another free benefit.
Welcome BonusA welcome bonus can be one or a combination of the different promos above. It is an introductory offer given to players when they sign up for a craps casino.

How to Play Craps Online

So, now that you know which online craps casinos are the best, how exactly do you play craps online? Below, I will guide you through the core gameplay of online craps and delve into the details of each craps round:

  1. Make your bets: To start, you must place a bet by choosing โ€œPass Lineโ€ or โ€œDonโ€™t Passโ€. The craps Pass Line bet is a wager on the dice landing on 7 or 11. Donโ€™t Pass predicts that the dice will land on a 2, 3, or a 12.
  2. Roll the dice: Now the dice are thrown by the dealer, who is known as the โ€œShooterโ€ in online craps. Land-based games allow a player to shoot. This first dice roll is known as the โ€œCome Out Roll.โ€
  3. Bet check: Following the first roll, a check is made to see if anyone has won a Pass Line or Donโ€™t Pass bet.
  4. Establish the Point: If there is no Pass Line or Donโ€™t Pass win, the number on the dice becomes the โ€œPoint.โ€ This would be a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10.
  5. Wager again: With the Point known, you can choose to bet again. The main options are the โ€œComeโ€ and โ€œDonโ€™t Comeโ€ bet, which mimic the Pass Line and Donโ€™t Pass.
  6. Shoot: With the second betting round complete, the Shooter throws the dice again.
  7. End the round: The Shooter continues to throw until there is a winner or loser. If the Point number is thrown before a 7, all Come/Pass Line bets win. If the 7 is thrown before the Point number, Donโ€™t Come/Donโ€™t Pass bets win.

Guide to Online Craps Games

Craps games online follow the same rules as craps in a land-based casino. It is also one of the simplest casino games in terms of actions because you only need to throw dice. However, craps is surprisingly complex in the structure of gameplay and betting possibilities. With fast action, online craps involve throwing two dice and betting on the potential outcome.

In craps, the player rolls the dice, with each player at a table taking turns to throw. Some online craps games may automate this process and simply use a button to throw.

For both land-based craps and craps online casino variants, the betting table is an essential part of the game. I recommend learning the table layout before you start playing, as it will make it easier to bet how you want during a round. You will see the following sections that make up the craps table:

  • Pass Line: The Pass Line section is in an L shape around the bottom right and left side of the layout.
  • Donโ€™t Pass: Also known as the โ€œDonโ€™t Pass Bar,โ€ this section is in two separate small bars inside the Pass Line.
  • 6/8: Big 6 and Big 8 bets are on the bottom corners.
  • Field Bets: These are found above the Donโ€™t Pass Bars and inside the 6/8 Bets.
  • Come Bet: The Come Bet is above the Field Bets inside the Donโ€™t Pass Bars.
  • Donโ€™t Come: This option is on the top of the Donโ€™t Pass Bars inside.
  • Place: Place bets are found on the top of the craps table.
  • Center: In the bottom middle of the table, you can see the Center for Proposition bets.

As you can see, the craps table is surprisingly complex and features several different bets. Many options extend beyond the core betting actions. You will need to know all wager options before you start playing, so letโ€™s look at all real money craps online bets:

  • Pass line: When you bet on the first roll dice to be a 7 or 11, paying 1:1 provides an instant win. Any Donโ€™t Pass value (2 or 3) results in a loss.
  • Donโ€™t pass: When you bet on the first roll of the dice to be a 2 or a 3, paying 1:1 and providing an instant win. Any Pass Line value (7 or 11) results in a loss.
  • The Point: When the first roll โ€“ the Come Out roll โ€“ shows a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, the game will continue, and the thrown number will become known as the โ€œPoint.โ€
  • Come bets: A Come bet is the same as the Pass Line bet, except it is made after the Point is established.
  • Donโ€™t come bets: Similarly, the Donโ€™t Come bet is identical to the Donโ€™t Pass bet, but only after the Point is set.
  • Odds bet: Once the Point is known, an Odds bet is when you wager on the dice landing on a specific number before it rolls a 7. The number you bet must be different from the Point.
  • Place bet: A Place bet also happens after the Point and involves betting on one of six numbers before a 7 is thrown. The numbers are 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10. You can also choose a Place to lose bet and wager on the 7.
  •  Hardway bets: You can have dice values that are pairs made of two identical numbers. For example, two 2โ€™s will make 4. Other possible pairs in online craps are 6, 8, and 10. Hardway bets allow you to wager on these pairs.
  • Field bets: 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, and 12 are available as Field bets, and you will wager on one of these numbers. The regular payout is 1:1, although you get a double 2:1 payout if you bet and win on 2 or 12.

Craps Types

While classic craps online is still the top choice for most US players, software providers have developed new twists on the game. Below are the most common variants you can find on online craps casino sites:

  • Classic Craps: The standard version of craps online remains the most popular. Classic Craps is the basic version of the game with traditional gameplay and no side bets. Pass Line bets in classic craps comes with an awesome house edge of 1.41%.
  • Crapless Craps: This variant takes craps from the game, which means there is no Donโ€™t Pass bet option on the Come Out roll. Because of this, all Pass Line bets can win apart from 7, while Crapless Craps also removes the 11 as an automatic winning throw. It has a house edge of 5.38%.
  • High Limit Craps: Also known as High Point Craps, this variant needs a higher number to create the point. 2 and 3 are not available for the Come Out roll, and 11 or 12 is an instant win. This can lead to potentially bigger payouts. High Point Craps has a house edge of 2.35%.
  • Low-Limit Craps: If you have a smaller budget or simply want your bankroll to last longer, low-limit craps is an excellent choice. As the name suggests, this variant allows you to bet on craps rounds for a smaller minimum amount.
  • Simplified Craps: A good craps version for beginners, Simplified Craps removes the Come Out roll and the point. That means you must bet on the shooter hitting 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, or 12. You lose if the shooter throws a 5, 6, 8, or 9.

Tips to Win at Craps Online

I wish there was a magic formula that can help you win when you play craps online. Unfortunately, craps is a game of luck, and there is no way to guarantee wins. Even so, there are ways you can increase your chances of success and help your bankroll last longer, including making the best betting decisions:

Practice for free

RNG craps online games are available for free in demo mode. This is a free way to practice the game without spending hard-earned cash.

Casino promotions

Promo codes for online casinos are a great way to extend your bankroll and play craps games with help from bonus funds.

Check the betting limits

Before choosing a game, check the information to see the limits and decide if they match your budget.

Check the RTP

Return to Player โ€“ RTP โ€“ highlights how likely a game is to pay back to players on average over time. In theory, a higher RTP means the game pays back more of your investment. You can also check out the highest payout online casinos.

Learn the rules

Before you start playing online craps, make sure you learn the general rules of the game and the specific rules of the variant you choose.

Gamble responsibly

Like I always say, gambling is meant to be fun. Bet within your financial means, do not chase wins, and do not over-extend your budget.

Craps Online Strategies

If you want to enhance your betting or add more excitement to the game, you may like a craps strategy. There are different strategies, some that aim to help you make better betting decisions and others that focus on bankroll management:

Pass Line Strategy

This is a pretty simple online craps strategy that involves you simply making the same bet on the Pass Line round after round. So, you will always wager on the Shooter throwing a 7 or 11.

Donโ€™t Pass Strategy

Many craps players avoid the Donโ€™t Pass/Donโ€™t Come bet because it is siding with the house and seen as bad etiquette (known as a Dark Side strategy). However, there is a strategy where you wager the Donโ€™t Pass option every round, meaning a 2 or 3 throw.

Come Craps Strategy

This is a repetition strategy that is the same as the Pass Line strategy. The significant difference is that this version applies after the point is set. So, once the point number is known, you bet Come (7 or 11).

Donโ€™t Come Craps Strategy

Once the point number is known, this strategy involves betting on the Donโ€™t Come bet, which is the same as the Donโ€™t Pass bet (throw a 2 or 3).

Craps Odds Strategy

Here, you will bet against the Shooter. This Dark Side strategy involves betting that the Shooter will throw a 7 before any Point number once the point is known.

Craps Press Strategy

In this system, you press your wager when you win a Place bet and pull your profits out if you win four Place bets. On each win, you bet again and can even increase your wager. Once you are happy with your profits, you stop the strategy to take your winnings.

6/8 Craps Strategy

In this progressive betting system, you make bets on 6 and 8, the two online craps numbers with the best odds. If you win, you take the profits and start the system again. If you lose, you continue to bet on 6 and 8 while increasing your wager.

Pros and Cons of Playing Craps Online

Low house edge
Can play for free
Exciting live dealer games
