Hollywood Casino Breaks PA Online Jackpot Record with $4.3M Payout

Hollywood Casino Online announced Tuesday that it had awarded the biggest win in site history after a Pennsylvania slots player won $4,365,327 on Aug. 30.

Fight for Gold Brings Home the Riches

The big win came on the Rome Fight for Gold: The Tiger’s Rage slot game, and marks the largest confirmed jackpot awarded at a Pennsylvania online casino since iGaming went live in the state in July 2019.

The award came as a part of Hollywood Casino’s DropZone progressive jackpot pool. Players have the option to opt into a group of four progressive jackpots on any DropZone slot for an additional 10 cents per spin. In total, the winning player paid $5.10 for the spin that resulted in the record-setting jackpot.

The big win easily set a new record for Pennsylvania online casinos. In January 2024, a lucky player took home a $2.3 million jackpot while playing the Cash Eruption slot machine at DraftKings Casino, meaning the new top prize is also double the previous high.

Lucky Players and Their Jackpot Records

However, the massive jackpot is still far short of a national record. In 2025, a Michigan player turned a $0.20 wager into a record $22.4 million jackpot on the popular Huff N’ Even More Puff slot machine, also at DraftKings, a win that has yet to be surpassed at any other regulated online casino in the United States.

Yet while online gaming is grabbing more and more revenue each year, land-based casinos still hold the overall mark for the largest slots jackpot of all time – and the record hasn’t been broken in decades.

On March 21, 2003, a lucky visitor from Los Angeles managed to walk away with a massive $39.7 million jackpot after betting a reported $100 on the machine.

Hollywood Casino was the first brand to launch regulated iGaming sites in Pennsylvania, doing so on July 15, 2019, beating competitors like Parx Casino and SugarHouse Casino which did so later that same week. Pennsylvania is also home to four brick-and-mortar Hollywood Casino locations, including Hollywood Casino Morgantown, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course, and Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
