Content Creators Love Wynn Golf Club, Where a Round Can Cost Up to $1,000

Wynn Golf Club is the only course at a Las Vegas Strip casino, and players are willing to spend up to $1,000 per round. Anyone looking to play 36 holes must pay twice, too!

Over the past few years, the course has also become a popular backdrop for content creators, from podcasters to TikTokers. There’s even a new clubhouse on the way to match the course’s growing reputation.

There isn’t much crossover between the high rollers who normally play the lush greenery and a bunch of dudebros hacking up the links. The future of golf at Wynn is starting to look different.

The typical players at Wynn Golf Club are the customers staying at the luxury resort – insert your own stereotype, because it’s probably right on most days.

The average room rate at Wynn last year was a whopping $547 per night, according to the company’s full-year accounting in 2025. Guests paying these rates for a place to sleep aren’t the most budget-conscious and don’t mind dropping big bucks on a round of golf, especially when they don’t have to leave the hotel.

Spending $450 to $1,000 for five hours of golf isn’t going to break the bank for these guests. I called to check rates, and the $1,000 fee applies during the holiday season and the Las Vegas F1 Grand Prix, one of Wynn’s busiest stretches. Last year, room rates during this time were close to $700.

Green fees are lower in summer, when it’s approximately 150 degrees in direct sunlight. Prices fluctuate similarly to hotel room rates.

What You Get In a $1,000 Golf Experience

The green fee covers a shared cart, a caddie, soft drinks, and gourmet food available every four holes. The mandatory caddie is also an ambassador for the course and will clean your clubs if needed. Gratuity is additional and expected for everything included here. The only additional fee when playing is for booze, which is available at typical Wynn prices.

While players can bring or ship their own clubs, they can use a set of Callaway clubs from the pro shop at no additional charge. This is the level of luxury service you’d expect from a $1,000 round of golf at Wynn Las Vegas.

There’s no nickel-and-diming once you pay for a round of golf. You’re paying a lot, but receiving a great product and service in return.

While Wynn is the only casino on the Las Vegas Strip with a golf course, Bali Hai is located next to Mandalay Bay, and MGM Resorts has a relationship with Shadow Creek.

The original Desert Inn Golf Club was redesigned by Tom Fazio after Steve Wynn purchased the property and built the casino resort bearing his name. Fazio did a second redesign in 2019 after the company dumped the wild Wynn Paradise Park project.

The course has immaculate, lush landscaping, streams and waterfalls, and strategically placed bunkers. The 18th hole is a par-3 with a $10,000 to $20,000 prize for anyone who hits a hole-in-one. This has helped attract younger golfers to the course.

Wynn Golf Club Gets Social

There was a time when you could easily forget that you’re playing golf at a Strip casino in the desert. That changed in 2019, when construction began on the Sphere across the street from Wynn.

Today, more than half the holes have a direct view of the Sphere, something hotel guests elsewhere have to pay extra for. Without doing anything, Wynn Golf Club became a content creator’s dream.

This didn’t happen overnight. TBS broadcast “The Match” at Wynn Golf Club three times beginning in 2021, and Netflix featured a golf event with pro golfers and F1 drivers before the Las Vegas Grand Prix in 2023.

Content has moved from larger home screens to smaller screens that can be watched anywhere. This summer, comedian and actor Andrew Santino grabbed some friends, actor Michael Peña and skateboarder Sean Malto, to try to break the course record. The video, posted on golf comedy channel St. André Golf, looks as good as anything you’d see on traditional TV.

Looking at Wynn Golf’s Instagram, you might think nobody over 40 plays a round at this classic Vegas Strip course, but that’s not the case. Almost all of the content features players in their 40s or below.

While content creators may have special access to Wynn Golf Club, the rest of the public has to pay. Comps are very rarely, if ever, issued to play the course.

Appealing to younger players will ensure the course continues to flourish throughout the future.

Coming Soon: Cliffhouse Grill

Cliffhouse will take Wynn Golf Club to the next level for hotel guests and players. As popular as the course is, its clubhouse and pro shop are relatively pedestrian.

The new 8,500-square-foot venue will be a high-end restaurant and lounge that connects with the current clubhouse facility. Golfers will finally have a 19th hole to hang out after their round without walking into the casino.

As you can see in the renderings, Cliffhouse Grill is a multi-level Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired mid-century modern building. The views include everything from the greenery of the course to the man-made waterfall and, of course, the Sphere.

One of the restaurant’s unique features is its walkable rooftop, which can serve as an elevated tee box for the first hole. Talk about another great location for content creators.

While there’s no public opening date for the new venue, it’s a safe bet that it should be ready in time for the Las Vegas Grand Prix. In addition to golfers and hotel guests, the restaurant and lounge are available for parties and gatherings.
