A father from West Sussex has become a multimillionaire after winning £2.3 million on a single 10p spin while playing Heart Bingo’s Fishin’ Frenzy Jackpot King slot.
The 46-year-old, who asked not to be named, had wagered just £7 in total when the jackpot struck.
“I was just silent. I was so shocked, I had to sit down on the floor,” he said.
He quickly phoned his partner to share the news. “I called my partner right after, but the funny thing is, she was driving on the motorway at the time. That probably wasn’t the best moment to break the news!” he added.
While some of the prize money will go toward travel and leisure, the winner said his priority is securing a home for his family. “This much money means safety for my partner and my children,” he explained.
He also intends to give back locally.
“I’m going to become a homeowner for the first time, and I want to help out a local community group that supported me through some really tough times in my life,” he said.
The win is Heart Bingo’s second multimillion-pound jackpot in three years. In 2022, a 38-year-old woman from the West Midlands won £2 million on the site’s exclusive Heart Make Me a Millionaire slot, also from a small stake.
The Fishin’ Frenzy Jackpot King game, developed by Blueprint Gaming, is known for its approachable 5x3 reel format and light-hearted fishing theme featuring rods, tackle boxes, seagulls, and colourful fish. Despite its simple design, the slot has produced life-changing payouts.
Bets start at 10p per spin, with the progressive Jackpot King system randomly triggering huge wins. That mechanic allows even the smallest stake to potentially unlock multimillion-pound jackpots.
The low-stake entry may be appealing for players; however there is both the life-changing potential and the unpredictability of progressive slots. For operators like Heart Bingo, headline wins reinforce their reputation as a “lucky” site, driving continued player interest. Life-changing wins are rare, always gamble responsibly.

Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe. I am keen to establish myself and help others to do the same.
