A German slot developer is bringing horror to life with its most ambitious release yet.
Dead soldiers rise again in Dead Legion, the latest horror-themed slot from German developer GAMOMAT. The company launched the 5x3 title on 16 September, pairing the release with a full-scale orchestral soundtrack to heighten the tension on the reels.
Horror Meets Live Music
Set on a battlefield cloaked in mist, Dead Legion immerses players in a grim Roman world. A skeletal legionary with glowing blue eyes serves as the Wild, substituting for all symbols except Scatters.
Free Games are triggered when three Scatters appear, represented by an undead centurion on horseback. During the bonus round, undead Roman legionnaires stick to the reels with burning red eyes, adding to the final win tally.
The game is distributed through GAMOMAT’s Remote Gaming Server (G-RGS) and the Bragg HUB, joining the company’s other horror slots such as Xploding Pumpkins, Book of Madness, and its 2024 sequel Book of Madness 2 .
Lead Game Composer Iris Wallner described the live recording sessions as transformative:
“Dead Legion will always be one of those projects I’ll never forget. Standing in front of a 64-piece live orchestra and hearing that first dark swell of sound was pure magic.”
She added that the live music raises the standard for what slot games can deliver:
