Quantum, one of betting and gaming’s most established customer acquisition and comparison businesses, has made two senior appointments as part of its continuing expansion drive.
The company has named Dimitris Papamichael as commercial director and Luke Watkin as marketing director, both newly created positions. The pair join from London-based MVF Group, a global customer generation firm, and will report directly to Chief Marketing Officer James McCarthy.
The appointments follow a series of senior-level hires across Quantum’s technology and leadership teams, part of a recruitment surge that began in 2023. Together, they mark the latest stage in a five-year growth streak that has seen the company expand into new verticals while reinforcing its strong footing in the iGaming sector.
Papamichael will oversee all revenue-driving operations and shape Quantum’s commercial strategy as it diversifies beyond gaming into broader digital comparison markets. He will also lead the company’s growing sales and commercial teams.
Watkin, meanwhile, will head Quantum’s global marketing efforts, from brand strategy and scalable systems to new market development. His role includes building and mentoring a high-performing marketing team as the company continues to attract new audiences.
CMO James McCarthy welcomed the hires, describing them as key to the company’s next chapter. “It’s a pleasure to welcome Dimitris and Luke to Quantum during what is undoubtedly a really fascinating time in our growth,” McCarthy said.
“From cementing our relationship with some of iGaming’s biggest names to helping us expand into exciting new sectors, both of our new Directors will be integral to the continued success of the business.”
Papamichael, who previously led commercial operations at MVF Group, said the move represents a natural step in Quantum’s evolution.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Quantum at such an exciting stage of its incredible growth journey,” Papamichael said.
“The company has already achieved so much, and there’s huge potential ahead as we expand into new markets and sectors.”
Watkin added that Quantum’s track record and ambitions made the decision an easy one.
“I am delighted to join a business with such a proven track record of excellence in its core markets, as well as highly ambitious plans for strategic expansion into new markets and territories,” Watkin said.
“I am looking forward to contributing towards building on the exceptional progress the team has made to date, and accelerating that growth in the years ahead.”
The appointments come shortly after Quantum’s rebrand from QiH Group, unveiled last week. The new name reflects the “quantum” leap in the company’s vision, a pivot toward technology-driven performance marketing and a redefined business purpose.
Founded in 2014, the firm has grown from a UK-focused affiliate operation into a global player in comparison and acquisition marketing across multiple regulated markets.

Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe. I am keen to establish myself and help others to do the same.
