Castle Bingo is celebrating again after two of its clubs each landed £50,000 winners on the National Bingo Game. That’s a total of £100,000 in life-changing prize money shared between two lucky players in one weekend.
And they’re not alone. Across the UK in 2025, clubs have been striking gold with £50,000 jackpots, while some have gone even further, smashing records and making bingo history.
Gone are the days of a £5 house or a £1 line. Today’s bingo halls and online platforms are linked to National Bingo Games, where dozens of clubs across the UK play for the same enormous prizes. With thousands of players marking cards simultaneously, jackpots regularly climb into the tens of thousands.
On 30 March 2025, Buzz Bingo Cricklewood in London rewrote the record books. One lucky player scooped an eye-watering £105,000 in the Colossus Bingo event, officially recognised as a Guinness World Record for the largest payout at a single bingo house.
That night’s prize pool topped £250,000, but the standout full-house win proved truly monumental and will be remembered for years to come.
2025 has already been a year to remember, with National Bingo Game players across the UK hitting the top prize again and again:
• January - At Mecca Bingo Chesterfield, a player won £50,000 just days before welcoming her seventh child.
• February - A spontaneous visit to Mecca Bingo Wednesbury turned into a £50,000 jackpot for one lucky couple.
• March - A Club 3000 Bingo Old Trafford player bagged £50,000.
• March - At Mecca Bingo Leicester, Saturday night play ended with yet another £50,000 winner.
Each of these moments created unforgettable celebrations, uniting local communities in joy, camaraderie, and sheer excitement.
While 2025 has been spectacular, bingo’s history has no shortage of legendary wins. One of the most iconic came in 2008, when Soraya Lowell from Lanarkshire scooped a jaw-dropping £1.2 million on the National Bingo Game at Club 3000.
That landmark win remains a milestone in UK bingo, proving that even a modest stake can transform into a life-changing fortune.
From historic jackpots to record-breaking wins, the National Bingo Game continues to showcase why bingo holds such a special place in British culture. It’s not just about numbers on a card, it’s about community, excitement, and the thrill of knowing that life-changing prizes can land at any moment.

Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe. I am keen to establish myself and help others to do the same.
