Cheers to the Year of the Dragon: Grosvenor’s Generous Gesture

This weekend, Grosvenor's land-based casinos in the UK aren’t just dealing cards and rolling dice; they’re pouring free drinks to toast the Chinese New Year.

In a spirited farewell to the festivities, anyone born in the Year of the Dragon (1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000) can swing by any Grosvenor location to enjoy a complimentary drink.

Whether you’re a fan of spirits, beer, wine, or soft drinks, there’s something for everyone – just take a valid ID to prove your dragon credentials on February 23rd and 24th and you can enjoy a tipple at your casino game table of choice.

Celebrate with More than Just a Drink

Grosvenor isn't just about the free drinks, though. They also claim to be about creating unforgettable experiences.

"Chinese New Year is one of our most exciting times of the year, and we have lots of offers and quality entertainment to make it a memorable experience for our guests," says Sam Collins, Operations Director.

Besides the drinks, guests can participate in local daily draws and win a share of the £250,000 prize pool.

A Note of Caution from the Hippodrome

While the drinks are flowing and the festivities are in full swing, Grosvenor is likely keeping an eye out for the taxman.

London’s Hippodrome recently faced a setback, owing £447,000 in tax after a High Court ruling against their VAT exemption on complimentary offerings. It's a timely reminder for Grosvenor to ensure that their freebies don't come with unexpected costs.

First Time at Grosvenor? Here's What You Need to Know

New to Grosvenor? Worry not. The casinos are welcoming to all, ditching the tuxedo stereotype for a more relaxed vibe.

Whether you're there for the games, to soak up the atmosphere, or just for the free drink, make sure to take some ID. And remember, casinos aren't just for high rollers; with games starting from as little as 10p.

So, if you're in the mood for some festive fun and a free drink, Grosvenor Casinos might just be the place to be this weekend. Or stay at home and play at one of the UK casino sites - no drinks here but plenty of welcome bonuses.
