Bally Bet Canada and Monopoly Casino have cleared the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) approval process and are now taking sign-ups, becoming the latest brands to go live among Alberta's regulated online casinos.
Both names appear on the list of approved AGLC operators that opened with 22 licensed sites on July 13, 2026, when Alberta became the second Canadian province after Ontario to launch a competitive iGaming market.
Two Live Products for Bally
The approvals give Bally two brands in the province.
Bally Bet pairs online sports betting with casino games, while Monopoly Casino builds its catalogue around the board-game name, with Monopoly-themed slots, live dealer tables and bingo.
Monopoly Casino launched in 2016 and already operates in Ontario; Bally took control of it through its acquisition of Gamesys.
The wider Bally group also runs online gaming products and 20 land-based casinos across 11 US states.
Inside Alberta's Regulated Line-Up
With both brands now taking players, the directory sits alongside names such as bet365 Alberta, BetMGM Alberta, BetRivers, Caesars, DraftKings, FanDuel, Sports Interaction and theScore Bet Casino Alberta.
Because several companies run separate casino and sportsbook sites, the number of live websites is higher than the number of parent operators.
Every one has to meet the same baseline before it can accept sign-ups: age verification, deposit limits, time controls and self-exclusion tools, with advertising rules that restrict how bonuses can be promoted to minors, self-excluded players and other vulnerable groups.
What Comes Next
The province's aim is to pull players toward regulated sites like these.
AiGC estimates roughly 70% of online gambling in Alberta previously took place on platforms outside provincial oversight, and it wants regulated operators to capture 75% of that activity within the market's first two years.
Registration and final approval are separate stages, so more brands are expected to flip the switch in the coming weeks and months.
