Playtech and The Hippodrome Casino have partnered to broadcast live casino games directly from the London venue's gaming floor, in a deal the two companies announced on 15 September 2026.

Called 'Live from London', the tie-up marks the latest addition to Playtech's growing 'Live From' portfolio of venue-based live casino products, which streams games from named physical casinos to players at operators licensed elsewhere.

What the Hippodrome Portfolio Includes

According to Playtech's announcement, the launch range broadcasts live from inside The Hippodrome and includes Dual Roulette, Studio Core Roulette, blackjack and baccarat. Playtech said the live casino portfolio is expected to expand with further tables as the partnership develops.

Marat Koss, Playtech's Chief Interactive Gaming Officer, said in the announcement: 'As we continue to expand Playtech's Live Casino portfolio, partnering with iconic gaming destinations remains a key part of our strategy.'

'Live from London merges the authenticity of a premium land-based casino and our technology to provide an engaging experience across multiple regulated markets.'

Koss added that 'both Playtech and The Hippodrome share an unwavering commitment to delivering innovative entertainment in a responsible way.'

The Hippodrome's Role in the Deal

The Hippodrome, a Leicester Square venue that has operated as an entertainment destination for more than a century, is one of the best-known casino brands in the UK's land-based sector. George Constantinou, the venue's Director of Online Gaming, said in the same announcement: 'The Hippodrome has been entertaining guests in the heart of London for more than a century and has become one of the most recognised casino destinations in the UK.'

He said the Playtech partnership 'enables us to extend that experience beyond our venue and introduce our unique atmosphere to audiences around the world through high-quality live casino content.'

Part of a Wider Trend for Venue-Based Live Casino

Streaming live dealer games from recognisable physical venues has become a growing strategy for suppliers competing to differentiate studio-based live casino products, which otherwise tend to look similar across operators. By broadcasting from an actual licensed venue with its own brand recognition, Playtech is betting that the setting itself becomes part of the appeal, rather than just the game mechanics on screen.

Playtech's announcement did not disclose commercial terms of the partnership or confirm which operators will carry the 'Live from London' tables first. The company said the games will be available 'across multiple regulated markets', without naming specific jurisdictions beyond the games' UK broadcast origin.

The Hippodrome deal follows Playtech's existing 'Live From' venue partnerships, which have applied the same model to other well-known casino locations as part of the supplier's live casino expansion strategy.

Playtech is one of the largest gambling technology suppliers serving the UK market, providing platform, content and services to operators across casino, live casino, bingo and sports betting. Bringing a named London venue into that live casino catalogue gives the supplier a differentiated product to offer operators competing for player attention in a crowded live dealer market.
