In a move that blurs the line between the living and the afterlife, Mecca Bingo’s Rosehill club will stage the world’s first ghost-hosted bingo game this Halloween. The event, aptly named “BinGhost,” invites bingo lovers and paranormal enthusiasts to witness a supernatural spectacle unlike any other.

Renowned among ghost hunters, Mecca Rosehill has long been considered one of the UK’s most haunted bingo venues. Over the years, staff and visitors have reported eerie incidents, including beer taps turning on by themselves, phantom footsteps echoing through empty halls, and bursts of unexplained organ music.

A Venue with a Haunted History

The club’s haunted reputation was reaffirmed earlier this year when a team of paranormal investigators conducted an overnight study, capturing what they described as unexplained whistling and responsive knocks. These findings only added fuel to the venue’s ghostly folklore, cementing its place in Britain’s growing catalogue of haunted entertainment venues.

Building on that eerie legacy, Mecca Bingo has teamed up again with investigators to create a live Halloween event that combines classic bingo with supernatural flair. Using methods from previous investigations, they plan to “channel spirit energy” into real-time bingo calls, giving attendees a glimpse into what they believe is paranormal communication.

A Halloween Event Like No Other

The event will take place on Tuesday, 28 October, offering guests a free and spooky twist on the beloved British pastime. Organizers say the evening aims to be “where tradition meets the otherworldly”, a first-of-its-kind moment in Mecca’s history.

Tickets are free and available through Mecca Bingo’s official website. As with all gambling-related events, entry is limited to those aged 18 and over, with responsible gambling reminders provided via BeGambleAware.org and BeDrinkAware.co.uk.

Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe. I am keen to establish myself and help others to do the same.
