First things first, let’s talk bonuses. And not the annoying kind where you need a calculator and a spreadsheet to figure out if they’re any good. No, I’m talking about cold, hard free spins! I got 50 of them right off the bat with absolutely no deposit required. Plus, when I made my first £10 deposit and wagered £10 on Jackpot King games, I bagged another 100 free spins. A fabulous little offer, if ever I saw one.
Best of all, my winnings were paid out in real cash, with no wagering requirements attached. None. Zero. Nada. Zilch. You get the idea. My spins were valid for seven days, but trust me, I had no trouble using them up before they expired.
If you’re planning to stick around, there are tons of promos for regulars. One that caught my attention was Prize Pinball. It’s a daily free game where you’ll get a chance to win free spins, slingo bonuses and cash prizes.

I was so excited to dive straight into the game selection at Betfair. To kick off, I treated myself to a few exclusive games. For research purposes, of course. Betfair Casino Blackjack, Betfair Money Back Roulette and Betfair Wolf It Up! Again Extra is all worth a spin.
If you’re a follower of trends (no judgement), you’ll find the top 10 slots in the UK in the games lobby. Prefer something shiny and new? The latest releases are always at the top of the lobby. I tried out Cash Eruption The Western, and Gold Blitz Express, because I can’t get enough of these series.
But let’s face it, not everyone dreams of slot game glory. So if you’re more of a table games player, both classics and game shows are available, although the live casino game selection isn’t quite as big as I’d hoped.
And if you’re the sort of person to get in a few casual games on your morning commute (or while you’re at home watching old seasons of The Traitors), I have great news: the games on the mobile app work just as well as the desktop site, and the app has the full game selection.

Did somebody say “instant withdrawals”? Whoohoo! While some sites promise so-called “instant withdrawals”, they usually come with a caveat, but at Betfair, you’ll literally get your cash immediately if you use an instant bank transfer. Trust me, I’ve tested it.
Withdrawal minimums are also very low, starting at £5 for Pay by Bank and going up to £10 for other methods like normal bank transfers and bank card payments.
But before you get to withdrawals, you’ll have to deal with deposits. Luckily, the cashier isn’t some terrifying beast to be afraid of. There are more than enough options to choose from, and it’s as easy as popping your details, confirming the transaction, and you’re done.
The first thing to know about Betfair is that it’s not some cheesy, themed casino. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against superhero mascots or sushi-eating cats (or whatever), but this is a premium site, focused on high-quality gameplay.
Betfair doesn’t necessarily have any unique navigational features or filtering options, but that just adds to the simplicity. I could scroll through game categories to my heart’s content, or search or filter really easily.
I was a little shocked at some of the negative App Store ratings, but when I took the time to read the reviews, I noticed it was the usual story: people who don’t understand how slots work. I’m tired. Anyway, the app worked well for me on iOS, and I was impressed that even the live casino tables are optimised for the smaller screen.
✔️ Solid mobile app available from the App Store and Play Store
✔️ New games at the top of the lobby for easy access
✔️ Responsible gambling tools are prominent on the homepage and easy to use
✔️ Super easy to explore games by category.
It’s hard for me to believe anyone could see the name “Betfair” and wonder if it’s safe, but I’m going to spell it out for you anyway. I had absolutely no doubts about safety and security at Betfair. It’s one of the top online gambling brands in the UK, and of course, it’s fully licensed.
The games are all regularly tested and audited for fairness and are compliant with the regulations for all licensing authorities. A big one is the Return to Player Directive 2016 issued by the Malta Gaming Authority, which states that the minimum RTP of a game has to be at least 85%.
One thing that impressed me immediately was that the responsible gambling tools were so prominently featured. I could set my deposit limits without leaving the games lobby! There are also some more unique tools, like a budget calculator and a game time limit, to help you stay in control.
✔️ Operated by Flutter Entertainment, the established owner of the Paddy Power brand
✔️ Fully licensed by the UK Gambling Commission
✔️ Full suite of responsible gambling tools
✔️ Only truly secure payment options are accepted.
Betfair is a premium brand. There’s no fiddling around with little FAQs pages: the site has an entire help centre where you’ll find info on payments, bonuses, casino games and general policies.
If you’re contacting live chat, it’s a good idea to log in first, so that the agent will have all of your account details. First, the virtual assistant will try to get an idea of your query and then transfer you to the right person. The whole thing worked pretty well for me, although for security reasons, I had to give my entire life story to confirm I was the account holder.
The minimum amount you can deposit at Betfair depends on your method. It’s £5 for bank cards, Apple Pay and instant bank transfers. This is lower than average for a UK casino site. But if you’re using an e-wallet or Paysafecard it’s a little high, at £30.
One word: instant. Betfair processes instant bank transfers immediately, with absolutely no waiting time. Other payment methods like bank cards can take between one and four hours, which is still a lot quicker than the majority of other UK online casinos.
Betfair is one of the safest online casinos in the UK. The site is fully licensed by the UKGC and it’s part of the Flutter group, which also runs Paddy Power, a household name in the online gambling world. You can be entirely sure that you’re safe when you play here.
There’s no question in my mind: Betfair is totally legit. The site is fully licensed and they take KYC procedures and responsible gambling very seriously. If you’re lucky enough to land a win, you’re absolutely guaranteed to be paid out, as long as you abide by the T&Cs.
The minimum withdrawal at Betfair varies a little depending on the method you’re using. For example it's just £5 for Pay by Bank and £10 for other options like regular bank transfers and bank cards. You’ll need to withdraw to the method you used to deposit.
I was surprised to see that Betfair doesn’t have phone or email support. The best way to get in touch is via live chat, which is available 24/7. Make sure you’re logged in, so that the support agents have access to all of your account details.
