The vibrant city of Toronto played host to two inspiring events celebrating the empowerment and advancement of women in the gaming industry.
Betty iGaming spearheaded a Membership Mixer on March 31st, fostering connections among women professionals and promoting the mission of Global Gaming Women.
Casinos.com has been covering the activity of GGW, truly an incredible organisation throughout the year and they have gone from strength to strength, empowering women across the globe.
The Membership Mixer was a resounding success, with women from various sectors of the gaming industry gathering to network, share ideas, and support one another.

The Toronto Leadership Mixer celebrated the inaugural Canadian Conference Scholarship recipients. These scholarships recognise individuals dedicated to making strides in the gaming industry. The event highlighted an inspiring learning experience that brought together some of the brightest minds in the sector.
Attendees were treated to impactful programming, courtesy of the Simmons Group, all within the stunning Score space provided by Penn National Gaming.
Pamela Buckley, Executive Vice President of Global Gaming Women, expressed her pride in the achievements of the scholarship recipients.
"Your passion and dedication to advancing in the gaming industry is nothing short of amazing," Buckley said.
Both events encapsulated the spirit of growth, leadership, and empowerment, reinforcing the belief in lifting each other up as they navigate their careers within the gaming industry. As the evening concluded, attendees left inspired, motivated, and eager to continue advancing together.
Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe. I am keen to establish myself and help others to do the same.
